Humu Cottage is a true character Kiwi Bach - A 100yr old cottage, with some updates, we have retained its historical nature. Open plan configuration, large dining area/lounge, wood burner, 3 bedrooms, thermal hot pool & backs onto the Tokaanu Stream. A year round holiday destination, with trout fishing, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, & white water rafting all near by - or just relax on the deck or in the hot pool! Humu Cottage is suitable for up to 12 people. NB; LINEN NOT SUPPLIED The space Relaxing in the thermal spa pool on a clear evening star gazing is an unforgettable experience. As is BBQ'ing on the wood fired BBQ. Wood supplied. Cleaning is included Soap, dishwashing liquid and cleaning products are included NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you need to supply your OWN LINEN please (towels/sheets/tea towels). Guest access The entire property is just for you Other things to note Our family have enjoyed our little piece of paradise for over 40 years. The original cottage dates back to the early 1900's. Over the years we have added on and updated our bach as the family has grown. It is a treasured holiday spot and ideal for R&R. It still retains it's original character and quirkiness. Humu Cottage is very much a traditional Kiwi bach, it is NOT a 5 star resort. We love it the way it is and look forward to sharing it with you and your family. A favourite activity is sitting in the spa on a clear night and star gazing. Absolutely spectacular. Another family favourite is relaxing in front of the fire on a winters night and playing one of the many board games. Jumping in and swimming in the stream is a fun activity. Please note the stream is a spawning stream for trout so it is ILLEGAL to fish in this stream.
