The space The Annex adjoins our home - it was originally built in the 1800s as a Victorian commercial property and has had many uses over the years including a general store for the local area. The upper floor w once a Sunday School room when not full of wool or grain. Many of the original features like the metal tongue & grooved flooring, pine wood panelling and beams are still visible on the upper floor. The building was converted for family use into its current form at the start of this century and now provides comfortable accommodation for up to 4 persons. Double glazing & Wi-Fi throughout. The ground floor has underfloor heating, although unlikely additional portable heaters are available, if required. Bathroom shaver socket (also in WC), iron & board, vacuum cleaner. In the main listing we have included 'potential for noise' due to proximity to road. For our own comfort in the bedrooms we included sound proofing on the external walls and acoustic secondary glazing and are happy to say with the bedroom doors closed road noise has been kept to a minimum, please also see Guest reviews. Bed linen, towels & tea towels provided - everything is laundered after use, we have several sets and store vacuum sealed until needed so don't worry if they appear a little creased. The 1st floor living area is open plan with kitchen, dining and lounge space which includes dining table & chairs, reclining sofa and swivel chairs, USB charging points, a smart TV ( A small selection of DVD's & games) & fixed electrical heaters. Most of the above we have tried to illustrate in The Annex photo's. Guest access On site parking for 2 cars in yard area (recommend reversing in) - 2.7 metre wide gap.
