The spacious original house, set away privately from the rest, with full-frontal deck sits solidly on massive Sand Stone boulders. It’s remoteness belies the easy drive and delightful ferry ride from Sydney. Come stay with the wildlife and enjoy unrivalled views, forest walks, tidal beach, fishing, kayaking, Supping and rock art. For those who enjoy cooking you are spoiled for choice with the deck BBQ and fire pit. Lapping water song travels up to the house at night bathing you with sleep tonic. The space Think stunning views from everywhere in the house. Think cooling sea breezes even on the hottest days, sun drenched in winter, think sun sets with G&T’s or whatever your preferred beverage may be. A visit from a Wallaby, a pesky Bush Turkey or perhaps a Monitor Lizard. Bird shows abound and the weather is never bad, it’s just another nature show. The house has a main section with 2 bedrooms a bathroom/laundry, kitchen and living area. All rooms flow onto the deck which hovers above the Coasters Bay. There is a second separate but connected self contained studio which has been added to the original house. It includes a fully adjustable queen bed with built in “massage” functions, a living room with a slow combustion wood fire, a kitchenette and shower/toilet. A Rocket coffee machine and pizza oven is available for guests. Guest access Whole guest access. Please keep in mind that this is our home and not a dedicated air bnb property. Other things to note 💧The Retreat is in a remote location and relies exclusively on rainwater. Every drop counts and every drip is a waste. 🦅 Please remember that you are in a wilderness area and it is necessary to be aware of the possibility of an encounter with a wide variety of wildlife. ☀️🌧The Retreat, with its magnificent elevated outlook and the vantage point of the covered deck makes being away in the rain an experience to enjoy. Its impossible to get cabin fever at The Retreat because whatever the weather there is non stop theatre. During winter the deck is bathed with sun all day long and other than the cold early morning it can be difficult to believe that its winter. 🔥 The outdoor fire area must be enjoyed with great care. Guests will be informed whether there is a fire ban and are expected to comply. 😎 The slipway in front of the property is ideal for launching kayaks and the SUP and is also a very convenient/comfortable place to hang out.
