Description
This light and airy apartment has everything you need, whether for a couple of nights or a week. Enjoy a hike in the piñon/juniper woods surrounding our property, and take our puppy (Lily) with you. (No leash needed she knows the way!). Explore local Anasazi ruins and watch the Milky Way at night and listen to the coyotes howl. We are in the heart of Indian Country surrounded by the Navajo and Zuni Reservation, and midway between Santa Fe and Flagstaff or Sedona, an hour from Gallup and Grants. The space Our Apt/guest house is close to several areas of interest (El Morro and El Malpais National Monument ), the Zuni Pueblo and the Navajo Nation. The Ramah area incorporates a very diverse and vibrant community, with a local art gallery, coffee shop, organic food store and restaurant. The Ramah Farmers' Market offers a variety of local produce on Saturdays in the summer. The cottage is complete with full bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette (small fridge, toaster oven, microwave, and crockpot, and basic supplies, cooking utensils and silverware). Please note there is not a hot plate. However, in the summer you can use our grill. A queen size bed (with a memory foam mattress), wi fi, gas fireplace, DVD player (no cable TV) and plenty of parking (including plenty of space for an RV or campervan). In summer there are two chairs and a table outside the cottage entrance, to enjoy morning or evening drinks. But you are also welcome to join us on the back porch during the summer months. Guests have access to the entire guest house and surrounding 10 acres and beyond. You need to walk through the main house courtyard to the guest cottage which has it's own entrance. (The guest house is attached to the garage which also has a separate entrance). No public transportation. Stock up with supplies before you arrive. There is a convenience (Dollar) store in Ramah. Bring all alcohol, the closest place to buy is 40 miles away! We do provide coffee and tea supplies. Please note our water is very drinkable, we do discourage the buying of water in plastic bottles. If you do need to do this please take the plastic bottle(s) with you as we have no way of recycling them in this area. Thanks! In the summer the back porch of the main house is available for relaxation, as well as two chairs by the cottage which can be used year round. Other things to note Stock up with supplies before you arrive. Bring all alcohol, the closest place to buy is 40 miles away! Think camping and stock up.
