Rooftop Terracehouse, Cathar-region, quiet village

We love our 400 years old, authentic village house and the amazing view from the roof top terrace. It is a perfect hideaway, workaway or just a quiet base for a peaceful holiday for nature lovers or just lovers. With hiking spots just around the corner and being close to the historic Cathar castles, authentic market villages, natural swimminglakes, river rafting and wine areas, there is a lot to explore. The house itself has many steps and a lot of patina. No dishwasher or TV, but wifi yes! The space Our old villagehouse has 3 storeys including a big rooftop terrace and can host up to 7 persons, if 2 can share a sofabed. On the ground floor you find the kitchen and a bedroom with sofabed and access to the main bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine. On 1st floor you find two bedrooms. One with a big doublebed and access to a toilet, the other one with a doublebed and a single bed and access to the stairs leading to the 2nd floor. On the 2nd floor is the cosy lounge with access to the big rooftop terrace, where we use to spend most of the time enjoying the mountain view and the lovely sunrises and sunsets. Guest access You will absolutely need a car to get around in the area. You can load and unload the car in front of the house and park it just 50 metres away. If no spots are available, you will find a bigger parking space a few hundred metres away. Other things to note This is the perfect getaway, workaway and hideaway. Cailla is a quiet village and a lovely base, if you want to explore this beautiful and totally unspoiled corner of France.
