Our favorite zen concept is chisoku – to know the feeling of being fulfilled with the now. Everything in kishi–ke is there to bring you closer to feel it. OVERVIEW: First floor: washitsu (tatami room) and fully equipped kitchen, toilet, zen garden Washitsu is the heart of our ryokan. It is the place where you enjoy the food, the cultural experiences and activities. The washitsu is covered in the best tatami mats and made with the wood and other elements from our over 100-years old samurai house. Enjoy the view of the ocean and pine trees from the panoramic window at one side and the view of the Japanese garden on​ the other side. The garden is connected to the room through an engawa veranda where you can sit and contemplate. Washitsu is also perfect for sleeping and up to 3 persons can sleep here in futons. Second floor: bedroom with two semi-double beds, bathroom (shower and hinoki bath tube), laundry space, toilet The 2nd floor and roof balcony are available only through outdoor stairs We believe that sleeping is ​very important and we made a lot of effort to embrace this zen spirit in the bedroom we created for you. The best mattresses, beddings, simplicity. From the bedroom’s window,​ you can look at and contemplate the garden. Our place is located next to the road so we prepared earplugs and others sound-reducing things. The bath tube​ is made with the top-notch Aomori Hiba hinoki (Japanese cypress) variety. It is perfect to take your tiredness and make you feel relaxed. Spacious, deep tube with a natural fragrance of hinoki which is proven to calming autonomic nerve activity and aiding good sleep. Other things to note terms of use – no smoking – no pets – extra visitors not allowed – please keep our home secure and lock doors and windows when leaving the house – the 2nd floor and roof balcony are available only through outdoor stairs – the place isn’t adapted for people with disabilities – you are responsible for any accident happened during the stay (except for malfunction) – beware of accidents involving children and elder people – kishi-ke is next to the road and please understand it may get noisy (especially during weekends). We provide ear-plugs. – there are many hand-made things at the ryokan. If something breaks, we won’t find the same product. We want to ask you to be careful.
