The Grenier gite, is one of 6 family holiday cottages at the La Grange du Moulin property in SW France. La Grange du Moulin property with heated swimming pools is EXCLUSIVELY for families with babies, toddlers and young children. Adult only groups or families with children over 14 will be refused, we have other more suitable properties in the area, please ask for details. The Grenier holiday cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms and has one small bathroom on the same floor as the master and single bedrooms. There is one double room with king sized bed and one single room plus wooden cot and also a spacious attice bedroom with three single beds and space for a travel cot too (provided free of charge on request) The main bathroom has a full sized bath with shower attachment, loo and sink. All the bedrooms have a hanging and draw space for clothes storage. A baby bath can be provided on request free of charge. All the cottages at La Grange du moulin Child friendly gites have stair barriers, non slip bath mats, potty, toilet trainer seat, highchair, booster seat, change mat, toys and books as standard. Items such as a bottle steriliser , baby monitor or baby chair can also be provided as can duplicate highchairs, booster seats and travel cots for twins and triplets, on request. A family owned group of 6 child friendly gites in rural France. The family friendly property has two safely enclosed heated swimming pools, one specifically for toddlers. There's a large enclosed garden filled with toys and we hold children and toddler activities each week such as pottery and fabric painting and even scuba diving! When we say child friendly we mean we are baby, child, toddler and family friendly! Chat to likeminded parents while your children make new friends and no need to worry about disaproving looks when your toddler has a tantrum - we've all been there! The Grenier holiday cottage has an open plan down stairs with dining area, sitting area and a fully equipped corner kitchen. The kitchen has everything a family would need for a comfortable self catering stay in rural France. There is a dishwasher, electric oven, 4 ring gas hob, fridge freezer, microwave and all the crockery and cutlery needed for 4 people. There is also a hand blender for making purees and plastic table ware for the children. Our family holiday properties with heated swimming pools (heated june to end august) are located in the heart of the French countryside with lovely views all around. Perfect for a relaxing child friendly family holiday. Centrally located in the Charente Maritime department of SW France, we are an easy drive to hundreds of km of sandy beaches. The Charente Maritime is also easy to get to with airports in la Rochelle, Bordeaux, Nantes, Poitiers and Limoges all accessible. The nearest port to the Charente Maritime is the French port of St Malo. Grenier family holiday cottage has a patio to the rear with 2 seater wooden table and barbecue. It also has a 6 seater garden table and chairs with parasol to the front so you can relax with a chilled glass of wine whilst your children make new friends in the safely enclosed garden. All the family friendly holiday cottages at la Grange du Moulin have full access to the enclosed garden filled with toys and table tennis table for the older ones . Of course there are also the two heated swimming pools, one which is specifically for toddlers. The heated swimming pool area is completely enclosed and has a child safety latch on the gate and is also alarmed to conform with French swimming pool safety regulations. We have a selection of child friendly gites to choose from, which you can book direct, to suit all sizes of family and budget. We also have other family holiday properties in the SW France area suitable for older children and teens and also a family friendly private villa for families or adult only groups. Guest access The cottage is yours and you will have your own private key. It is an end of terrace, so you will have neighbours on one side. The communal areas are the play garden, swimming pool area, laundry room, parking areas and all outdoor areas are shared with the other families . You have your own terrace and garden area for outdoor eating. We live on site and tend the gardens and pools daily and are available if needed but we arn't obtrusive. Other things to note - Exclusively for families with young children from 24th May to 15th September - No pets - No smoking/ vaping property (inside or out) - No Music/ radio outside (wear headphones) - POOL only heated between 24th May and 15th September This is a child friendly site and because of the close nature of the cottages you will need to go to the parking area or leave the property to smoke or vape. If you have older children we have other more suitable properties locally We live in a beautiful rural area where the only sounds we want to are birds singing and children laughing. All our cottages are rustic in style as the buildings are 200 yrs old, with exposed thick stone walls and creaky wooden floor boards upstairs, tiled floors downstairs, old beams. They are simply furnished - this is NOT 5* luxury. The end of stay cleaning service is NOT included - you are expected to leave the house in a clean and tidy condition on departure, we do not expect it to be left ready for the next guest, we just expect some basics - strip the bedding, empty the bins and recycling, put towels in the bath, do the dishes, give the kitchen and bathroom a once over and give the floors a sweep. The gites are cleaned thoroughly before your stay yet spiders may seek a cool corner in the cottage, leave the doors open and a baguette on the table and a mouse may come in from the field. We are in the countryside, it's a drive to everything (boulangerie 4km, supermarket 12km, beaches 60km). We are aimed at families so no crystal glasses or luxurious furnishings. This is not a white washed modern apartment! It's why families love us and return to us year after year. The pottery and fabric painting activities are held once per week throughout the whole season. Teddy bear picnic is only held in May, June & September Some activities such as yoga and wine tastings are subject to minimum numbers We provide a toilet roll, a bin bag, some washing up liquid, some hand soap, a couple of dishwasher tabs for your arrival. There is a communal store of salt, pepper, oil, some dried herbs and spices and you can help yourself to the fresh herbs in the garden. This is a self catering property so you will need to buy more toilet roll, bin bags etc from the supermarket.
