Outside a pool and a garden full of flowers, hammocks hanging between majestic trees, children playground, 5 hectares of land with vineyards and olive groves. The space The view is magnificent, within a few kms there is a 1,200m mountain and the sea. Woodland and olive groves in between. The estate is self-sufficient (fruit and vegetables, jams, wines, salamis, cheese, olive oil, limoncello) and its delicious products are available to the guests. The owner is a great chef and is available to cook meals. The walls of the villa are a metre thick and keep the ideal temperature, the style is cool rustic chic – with a dash of theatricality. Walls are white, floors are matt terracotta, there are lovely pieces of driftwood positioned in innovative ways, a great big fireplace (from a Harpers Bazaar article). Within 5 minutes drive is the enchanting harbour of Scario from where boats take people to the unspoilt beaches of the wild coast of Cilento, one of the world's most beautiful. It is a National Park, a Protected Marine Area and a Unesco World Heritage Site. Apart from the sea there are beautiful trekking opportunities, interesting monuments and ancient sites, alpine rivers and medieval villages nearby. It is never too hot or cold with Summer average daily temperatures of 27 degrees and 20 at night.
