This comfortable, family-friendly and dog-friendly home in Seabright is close to EVERYTHING--exactly one mile from Seabright beach, the Boardwalk, and Downtown, and just a few blocks from several grocery stores, restaurants, and bars. House is on a quiet block in a locals neighborhood, with some of the best weather in the County--a perfect location for a trip to Santa Cruz. Our three bedroom, two bath home in the Seabright neighborhood of Santa Cruz is just a few minutes' walk from most major attractions, including: the Beach Boardwalk (1.1 miles); Downtown Santa Cruz (1.0 miles); Seabright Beach (1.1 miles); five grocery stores (including Whole Foods, Safeway, Shoppers' Corner, etc.. -- all within 0.5 miles); Museum of Natural History (1.1 miles); Branciforte Library (0.3 miles); as well as all the shopping, restaurants, and bars of the Seabright neighborhood. For convenience and walkability, it's a hard location to beat! Go to the Beach, Boardwalk, and Downtown without having to worry about parking--and if you'd prefer riding to walking, three adult bikes (two mens', one woman's) are available with locks and helmets. The house itself is a recently renovated single family residence (1,340 square feet) on a 5,000 square foot lot on a quiet, residential street. House is fully modern with oak flooring, on-demand water heater, washer and dryer for laundry, clean bathrooms with marble and granite tile, dishwasher, and a recently remodeled kitchen with granite countertops, gas stove, and oak bar with barware. Spacious accommodations are available for 6 (2 more could be accommodated with an airbed, if needed). The house is well-configured for families with children of all ages, and a travel crib can be made available on request. The backyard features 500 square feet of redwood deck with a Weber Genesis gas grill, full patio set, fruit trees, party lights, and the privacy needed for a relaxing summer evening. In the front yard, help yourself to the organic garden, including lemon and lime trees, as well as other fruits and vegetables when in season. Parking is plentiful, with one space in the driveway and additional parking always available on the street (unlike many areas in Santa Cruz, our street has no parking restrictions and requires no local permits). Weather in Seabright is the best in Santa Cruz: less wind and fog, and more sun, but without getting hotter than you'd care for. Day trips from Santa Cruz can be made easily to Carmel-by-the-Sea, Big Sur, the Santa Cruz Mountains, the Monterey Bay, or San Francisco. Please contact us with any questions! You have full access to the house, the yard, the deck, etc -- everything on the property. When guests are in the house, we are often still in Santa Cruz, and are available to assist with problems and questions. If we are travelling while guests are in the house, our very-helpful relatives manage the property for us and can assist you. As noted above, this is one of a few well-located areas in Santa Cruz that does NOT have parking restrictions. Please note that two dogs live here when we live here (they are never here when guests are staying). The house is thoroughly and professionally cleaned before each group of renters arrives, but if you or someone in your family has severe allergies, there may be some dander on the property that could set the allergies off.
