Room Neptune, named after Neptune's Staircase, sleeps 2 people (king size bed or twin beds) and offers an en-suite shower room. This room can be joined together with the Nessie room to create a larger suite, suitable for a family or group. We are also dog friendly are happy to welcome well behaved pets with responsible owners. We will even provide a bed for the extra family member. (There is an additional charge of £20 per pet). Beds are supplied by Dovetail who have been manufacturing beds in Scotland for over 150 years. As a Supported Business, Dovetail are a registered charity that is proud of its role in providing employment and training opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged members of society. These high quality beds coupled with the luxurious Spundown duvet and 200 thread count Egyptian Cotton Linen help you have a great night’s sleep. Guest access Situated on the southernmost tip of the iconic Loch Ness, Scottish Canals’ newest accommodation located at the Caledonian Canal Centre, Fort Augustus is the perfect venue whether you are seeking a peaceful spot for an overnight rest stop, after taking on the challenge of the Great Glen or you are looking for a unique base to explore all the myths and marvels of the Scottish Highlands. The venue has seven rooms all with their own unique personality – from the Loch Oich which sleeps three to Nessie and Neptune which can join together to sleep six. The rooms are all beautifully designed and decorated with a great blend of modern style and traditional fabrics to make the modern traveller feel at home. Located above the new Caledonian Canal Centre the centre offers visitor facilities all year round, including information point, a gift shop selling relevant and locally produced goods and a café serving homemade, Scottish produce. We will also have a grab and go offer boasting fresh coffee and artisan ice-cream. Other things to note Catering All rooms offer basic tea and coffee making facilities, but you can grab a delicious bite to eat and a barista brewed coffee in the morning from the Caledonian Canal Centre ‘Grab and Go’ which opens at 8am throughout the summer months.
