How Bank Ambleside, Luxury House with Hot Tub

HowBankAmbleside is a luxury house In the Ambleside conservation area, fully set up for a memorable stay and located two minutes from Ambleside's amenities. Tucked away in an elevated position next to Stock Ghyll Beck, with its sounds of cascading water, there are views to the Fells throughout. Our hot tub for 6 is under a slate roof for use in all weathers. There are many walks from the door so you can leave your car at the house during your stay. There is parking for 3 cars & an EV charger. The space How Bank has lots of space for relaxing with a large lounge furnished with two very comfortable, big 3 seater leather sofas and two armchairs. This room has a 65" smart TV with apps that include Disney plus, Netflix, BBC iplayer, ITV hub and free to air tv. The second living room has 2 smaller sofas and a 55" smart TV with a WII U and a PS4 together with a selection of games and controllers. This room has been popular with our younger guests but can also be used as a quiet reading room. We also have a selection of board games and children's books and some toys for younger children. The dining kitchen is very well-stocked including a nespresso coffee machine, electric mixer, food processor, slow cooker and a selection of items and utensils from Joseph Joseph, Royal Worcester crockery and Robert Welsh cutlery. There is a double oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine; a tumble dryer is available in the cellar. There is a large oak table and 6 very comfortable dining chairs. The large back hallway and smaller front hallway, both have lots of coat hooks. The back hallway has a bench and plenty of space for outdoor clothes and boots. We have a custom ordnance survey map on the wall with How Bank at its centre and a topographical map of the Lake District. We also have a cloakroom here with a toilet and washbasin. There are 3 bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite shower room. All beds have luxury mattresses and fine bed linen. Two of the bedrooms can either be set up as superking or 2 single beds (please let us know when you book) and a room with a bunk bed that is a small double on the bottom and a single on top. This room could be used for 3 children, (again please let us know when you book). The family bathroom has a separate shower cubicle, bath and sink. The house is surrounded by our large gardens looked after by our excellent gardeners. We are on a hill so the back garden, which includes the drive and parking for 3 cars, is on a slope above the house that also graduates over to the hot tub area which is right next to (the river) Stock Ghyll Beck. We have an Andersen EV charger (tethered) in the drive. Our hot tub comfortably accomodates 6 and is under a roof so it can be used in all weathers. We have 7 bramley apple trees, help yourself to cooking apples in autumn. There are 2 outside tables with chairs and an outdoor sofa for warmer days. The front garden is down steps and has a large patio and a lawned area. Please note that there is a low wall to the river and an unfenced drop to the front garden at the front of the house. The stone patios can also become very slippery in wet weather. Extreme care should be taken by all guests and children should not be allowed outside, including in the hot tub, unsupervised.
