Sveti's Nook: Austi beachside retreat

This open, bright and airy, but quiet Hamptons style beach-side retreat is perfect for 2 people. It has a lovely north-facing garden setting with views of the Illawarra escarpment. Austinmer Beach is an easy 500m stroll away, with its well known surf pools, patrolled swimming and eateries. However the house features Austinmer's other side - the mountain views and leafy feeling. The space This is a self contained unit occuping the ground floor of a three storey timber house lovingly created over many years by the keen woodworker after whom we have named this space. The unit has its own separate entrance and garden area, and has no internal access to the main house. It consists of a large, bright but shaded living room, with a separate bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom. The bedroom has a queen bed, with a robe rack and direct access to the bathroom. There is the option to use the sofa-bed for a 3rd person, but it would reduce the use of the open plan living/dining area. Please enquire first if the sofa bed is required. A cot can be supplied on request. Children stay free of charge. The kitchenette is small, but it has a bar fridge (small freezer section), portable single cooktop, combination microwave/oven, electric fry pan, toaster and stocked with plates/cutlery/pots, etc.... along with a small supply of tea and coffee. However for those who don't want to self-cater, there are great cafes nearby and restaurants in the surrounding suburbs. There is unfortunately no Wifi available. Instead there is a TV with a number of DVDs and books that you are welcome to use. The main property is situated on the two floors above, which we use on a part-time basis. On most occasions the unit is let we will not be in residence, but if we are noise may sometimes filter down, especially when there are kids in residence. A shared laundry is only available when we are in residence or for longer bookings. Please leave the property in a clean and tidy state with rubbish removed and all washing up done. We have wonderful neighbours. Please be respectful of them and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. Guest access Entire ground floor, with access separate from main house.
