Heritage Stone House - Comfort, Terrace & Garden
Heritage Stone House - Comfort, Terrace & Garden
Description
We invite you to stay in our historic, carefully restored family home, located in the Old town only minutes on foot from Marina and the south city walls. This 18th-century Dalmatian stone house, in which a sense of time permeates everything, has been the family home of our ancestors for several centuries. We hope that in this town, which keeps the ancient God of favorable moment - Kairos, and in the house of our nona, you will create your own happy and favorable memories that will last forever. The space The comfort apartment with a private spacious terrace, a separate open-space living and dining area with natural stone walls, a master bedroom and a charming Captain’s Nook, occupies the central flat of our house. In addition to the queen-size bed in the bedroom and a vintage bed in Captain’s Nook, a large sofa-bed can accommodate one or two additional guests in the living room. We have striven to preserve the spirit of the times our great-grandparents kept and have retained much of the original furniture while aiming to introduce modern amenities that make our guests’ stay comfortable. Hence, our Mediterranean-style kitchen and bathroom made of natural stone are equipped with convenient elements such as a new stove, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Too, our apartment has an air-conditioning unit, a smart TV, and free WiFi. Outside is a lovely Mediterranean stone garden patio, filled with tangerine and fig trees as well as a private terrace from which you can admire them while having a meal and sipping some unique Dalmatian wine or simply enjoying your morning coffee or the nights of wonder. This is not an apartment created for renting, it is our beautiful seaside home of our nona (grandmother) which we are happy to share with you. Guest access Our traditional Dalmatian stone house is located on the island of Čiovo and it belongs to the historic City of Trogir, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. You will follow a short maze of narrow, cobble-stoned streets to enter our lovely garden, through which you will pass to get to the door of our home. To reach the town of Trogir you may either take a bus or ferry from Split (28 km) or arrive by plane at the Split Airport (5.2 km). Trogir also has several marinas and is a popular destination for those who are on a yachting vacation. If you wish to have a swim, my cousin Tonko will explain the best way to get to the most popular public beaches within easy reach of Trogir on foot, by boat-line, bus or car.
