Description
Escape to a beautiful private guest house and Winery in a secluded country setting on 45 acres, just 1.5 hours from Perth and within the Peel region. Bush, Bibbulmun track at the gate, minutes from the Murray River. 2kms from nearest neighbour. The space This beautiful architecturally-designed guesthouse is set on a stunning rural property on 45 acres (18 hectares). The 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom house has a large combined kitchenette/dining/living space and a huge games room/study, which can also be used as a third bedroom by converting the sofa into a bed. Bedroom one has a queen-sized bed, built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, and french doors opening onto the balcony. Bedroom two has two king single beds that can be used separately or pushed together to create a king-sized bed, a built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and small private balcony. The large bathroom has a heated towel rail and a combined shower and bath. The living/dining room features a table setting for six, a large daybed/sofa and a TV with access to local and satellite channels. The kitchenette is equipped for simple cooking with a full-sized fridge, kettle, toaster, convection microwave oven, electric fry pan, rice cooker and camp stove. Other cooking facilities include a Weber barbeque and outdoor woodfired pizza oven. The games room/study includes a table tennis table and sofa that can be converted into a double bed. The house is fully air-conditioned and heated in winter by two powerful slow-combustion wood fires. All sheets and towels are provided and the property has wireless internet access. The property is situated on 45 acres (18 hectares), most of which is untouched Australian bushland, abounding with native flora and fauna. Surrounding the house are beautiful gardens, a frog pond, an outdoor woodfired pizza oven, an enclosed orchard and vegetable garden, and a stunning infinity-edged swimming pool surrounded by decking. Beyond the pool stretches a vineyard and below that a large lake, where you can take a paddle in a kayak or rowboat. Other activities possible on the property are bushwalking, table tennis and relaxing by the pool. You are also welcome to bring your dog along, please just let me know in advance. Guest access You will have the guesthouse all to yourselves, with its own private entrance and balcony. You are also encouraged to explore as much of the property as you like and use any of the facilities, including the swimming pool, the pizza oven and nearby outdoor sitting area, the barbeque, and the lake. Please note that these are the private facilities of the host and will therefore be shared when the host is in residence. Occasionally there may be farm activity at some distance. The only area I ask you not to access is the main house and verandah. Other things to note The kitchenette has many options but there is very limited space for preparing meals. Consider bringing pre-prepared food and simple assembly meals. Mobile phone coverage at the property is limited (some phones will work but most will not), but there is full coverage in town and you will be able to use the wireless internet on your phone while at the property. However, be warned that internet service is not reliable due to the poor coverage. The hot water is limited so showers are much better than using the bath, especially if you are more than two in number. Water is also a very scarce resource. If you intend to use the pizza oven, do some homework first if you are not experienced. They can be very tricky! As this is a rural property, be prepared to encounter flies, ants, the odd cobweb and lots of red dirt! You may also see kangaroos, emus, rabbits and echidnas. Registration Details STRA6213KAX0TTV9
