Welcome to the Hole in the Rock Yurt — a truly special retreat with stunning views that we’re sure you’ll love. The yurt is super warm and cosy, perfect for relaxing in comfort. It sleeps up to four guests with a king bed and a pull-out double sofa bed. If you’re travelling with a larger group or family, we also have a studio on the property that sleeps an additional four guests, featuring a king bed and a pull-out double sofa bed. Next to the yurt is a separate kitchen and bathroom unit, featuring a large bi-fold window so you can enjoy the scenery while you cook or relax. The yurt itself is a stylish, open-plan round space with a stunning 5-metre-long window designed to capture the incredible views. It truly is a very special place. The yurt includes a king-size bed and a fold-out double sofa bed for two additional guests. Please note that the yurt is one large open room, with all sleeping areas in the same space. Guest access The yurt has its own kitchen and bathroom unit Other things to note Welcome to the hole in the rock Yurt If you walk right down the driveway, you’ll find the beach. The track to the beach stairs is to the right — Just follow the grass paddock to the right and you will see the trail, best explored at low tide so you can walk through the Hole in the Rock. For food, the Star Tavern just down the road does a great meal, you can walk to the pub in 2 mins. The Cape Foulwind Walkway is also highly recommended — it’s an amazing walk with a seal colony at the far end. Another great option is the Kawatiri Coastal Trail, which is perfect for walking or biking. It follows the coastline and river and offers beautiful views, especially around sunset. If you want to go surfing Bazils hostel and surf school offer surf lessons or just surf rentals. Electric mountain bikes are available for rent at the Westport Isite, great for all the trails around here. If you have any questions during your stay, feel free to reach out.
