Kilndale Cottage is located within the Rural Hamlet of Mockerkin, a short drive from some amazing Lakes and only 5 miles from the picturesque market town of Cockermouth, making this an ideal base for couples and families wishing to explore the western lakes and fantastic walking or cycling right from your doorstep, our cottage offers a peaceful location with stunning views over the tarn and the fells beyond. The open coal fire makes the evenings extra cosy, making this a memorable holiday stay. The space All on one level, making this cottage easily accessible for all, entrance into the hallway with large lounge/dining room ahead offering magnificent views out of a large patio window, with a balcony to sit on and enjoy a drink, the lounge also offers a open log fire making this extra cosy in the colder months, and with a smart TV and Netflix so you can enjoy some evenings viewing after a busy day. A fully fitted modern kitchen, a very spacious family bedroom with a king size bed, and Laura Ashley Day Bed with 2 full size single mattresses, The bathroom has a impressive walk in shower with large rainfall shower-head with an arm attachment, all leading onto the hallway. On entrance there is a large storage cupboard ideal for storing all-weather gear, backpacks and muddy boots. Plenty of private off road parking directly outside the property. Dog are very welcome at the fee of £5 per night, per dog, payable on departure, this charge pays for the deep clean for the stay. Maximum of 2 dog per stay. Please note the garden belongs to the adjacent bungalow and isn’t part of kilndale cottage. On arrival you will find a welcome gift of either a freshly made sourdough loaf or locally made cake & a pint of our own dairy milk fresh from our farm waiting for you to enjoy. Other things to note Charging of electric cars via internal house sockets with your own extension cables is acceptable at the cost of £20 per charge, this can be arranged on your stay. Alternatively you can search for charging points locally on the government website, we are nearest to cockermouth/Workington/Whitehaven/Keswick.
