Sakura Ekan is a private guest house in Sakura Echo, a symbol of Shinshu, at the foot of Zenkoji Temple, a national treasure. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Zenkoji Temple. It is a modern Japanese-style building that has been renovated to take advantage of the retro atmosphere of the Taisho period architecture. On the way to Zenkoji Temple, there is the quaint Shukubo-dori, and beyond Zenkoji Temple, there is also Jojakyo Park, where Nagano citizens relax, the Nagano Prefectural Art Museum, and the Higashiyama Kaii-kan, so why not take a leisurely stroll.  There are also many cafes, bakeries, Italian, French restaurants, and eateries near the facility, making it convenient to eat out. You can also enjoy walking and eating Shinshu soba, a local favorite. There are many soba shops around Zenkoji Temple, as well as Japanese food and Starbucks. Surrounded by nature, Nagano is also popular with mountain climbers, and it's convenient for getting to Togakushi, a power spot. We hope that not only guests from overseas, but also guests on domestic sightseeing trips will use it. It is a 20-30 minute walk from Nagano Station, there is also a loop bus called Gururin, and it is about 10 minutes by taxi. The space There is a kitchen with a foreign-made IH cooking heater in the center of the first floor of a two-story building. This accommodation is completely private because it is a private rental. 1st floor: 1 semi-double bed (120 cm × 200 cm) 2nd floor: 2 sets of futons (single mattress 100 cm × 200 cm) Normal occupancy: 4 You can add up to 1 person. (1 futon set/no mattress/extra charge) Please be sure to contact us in advance if you'd like additional futons. Guest access The courtyard (artificial turf) has a deck, which can also be used as a place to relax while cooling off in the evening and looking out at the greenery. Important The facility is close to general residential areas. Please be considerate of loud noises day and night. Other things to note Important No parties or drinking parties allowed. The facility is located in a quiet residential area, so please do not disturb the surrounding residents. Absolutely no open flames, including barbecues, fireworks, or smoking. Music, dancing, loud conversations, etc., day or night, are strictly prohibited due to concerns about fire, smoke, smell, noise, etc. Please be especially considerate of the surroundings, such as the volume of conversations and music, when relaxing after 9 pm. We prohibit entry to the facility by anyone other than registered guests, including family and relatives. Smoking is prohibited in the facility, courtyard, surrounding roads, and the grounds of the shrine opposite. If you are a smoker, please understand this before booking. Please refrain from staying with pets. There is no bath, only a shower in the facility. There is a public bath a 7-8 minute walk away, and a full-scale hot spring facility where you can bathe on a day trip about 20-25 minutes away. Parking for 1 car is available about 50 m from the facility, not on the premises. Please be sure to turn off the lights, water, air conditioner, and heater when you go out. When checking in, please get the key from the key box provided by the guest. For security reasons, we will let you know the number for the key box by 12 noon on the day of check-in. Check in time is 3 pm and Check out time is 10 am. We cannot store your luggage before check-in or after check-out. Please use the coin lockers at Nagano Station.
