Captain's Retreat is perched overlooking Waikere Inlet in the beautiful Bay of Islands close to all of the Bay's boating activities. Walking distance to the Marina, boat ramp and Opua's extensive boat support facilities and the Boating Club, this is the ideal step off hide away for you holiday in the Bay of Islands. Sit on the deck and enjoy the extensive 180 degree views and the all day sun. This house is well equipped with a gourmet kitchen, wifi, Sky TV and most amenities. The space Beautiful beaches in the vicinity; 10 minutes from the historic Waitangi Treaty grounds and 18 hole Waitangi Golf course; close to several excellent restaurants. The house is in talking distance from Opua Marina where you might wish to keep your boat. There is a boat launch ramp close by. Opua has all of the facilities a yachtie would want to dock, refit and maintain his boat including a choice of haul-outs, sailmaker, spar and mast rigger, marine engineers, chandlers and sailmakers. Captains retreat is also right at the start of the new Coast To Coast Rail Cycleway - so great for easy start to one of New Zealand's best cycle paths. It is also close to the new Waitangi Mountain Bike Park which is a must for all keen cyclists. Guest access Ample parking on the deck for 2-3 cars.
