Entire Cabin: Step Back in Time at The Piney Lodge

Built in 1961, our tiny cabin is located in the heart of Grand County just outside the charming and picturesque town of Grand Lake between Lake Granby and Shadow Mountain Lake. Our 2 BR, 2 BA rustic cabin has basic modern conveniences to make for a wonderful mountain vacation experience. WiFi is now available, but we encourage you and your family to enjoy the simplicity of the cabin, unplug & get away from it all. The natural outdoor environment is perfect for relaxing & viewing local wildlife. The space Enter the cabin and enjoy a cozy living space with an open floor plan, including a small family room and kitchen in one main room. Enjoy our well stocked kitchen with spices and condiments, while watching the hummingbirds from the kitchen table. Two small bedrooms with blackout curtains are separated by a ¾ bathroom – one Queen bed and one Double bed. A second full bathroom with Washer/Dryer is located off the mudroom for a little extra privacy or traffic overflow. To truly appreciate the mountain experience, gather around our gas fire pit for an evening under the stars. Outside there is a gas BBQ grill on the deck and a gas fire pit down below. Grab one of our cozy throw blankets and sit on the deck to take in the fresh mountain air. Alternatively, snuggle up with a fire in our wood fireplace inside and enjoy the large windows looking out the front, perfect for viewing local wildlife. We take great pride in offering a family friendly cabin. Our cabin offers a natural outdoor space. From our deck, our cabin is sure to provide the perfect mountain getaway for your family. The family room includes a small sofa bed and two swivel chairs, WiFi , a TV with basic channels and a phone. There is a small library of DVDs or you can use your login credentials to access apps like Netflix on the TV. You will find toys, puzzles, movies, games and books to entertain the kids. For the older kids and adults, you will find plenty of games and DVDs to select from to gather as a family and enjoy on evenings or rainy days. Guest access Our tiny 788 sf cabin is set on a tiny 1/3 acre wooded lot. The driveway can accommodate three vehicles, or one RV/Truck & Trailer and one vehicle for your outdoor adventures. Our neighbors behind us, next to us and across from us have additional wooded acreage that creates a beautiful (relatively) secluded environment welcoming elk, red fox, chipmunks and the like. Our immediate next door neighbors are kind, and often not here. You're welcome to explore the area immediately surrounding the cabin. As you do, please respect our neighbors' privacy and the neighboring land around us. Relax and enjoy the breathtaking beauty and quiet fortitude of the woods. Smile, wave and say hello! Other things to note As like most Colorado hosts, we are 420 friendly (outside only). Please be sure to extinguish carefully and properly. Don’t stub anything out on a log or tree stump, or flick it onto the ground. Our main concern is fire safety.
