Self-contained cabin near the sea

Refreshed and refurbished, this freestanding cabin on a family holiday property is well-located in a lovely, quiet corner of Wadawurrung country. It has a pitched roof, split-level accommodation, picture windows, a pleasant deck, Wifi, and a smart tv. The cabin is within easy walking distance of Painkalac Creek (5 mins), spectacular cliffs (10 mins), and beaches (15 mins). Children free and pets welcome ( see guidelines below). The space The cabin consists of a living and a sleeping area (on different levels, but not divided by a wall) along with kitchen (oven included) and bathroom. A small flight of stairs separates the two levels. There is a comfortable queen-sized bed with a pillow-top mattress in the sleeping area. The two-seater couch in the living area is a single sofa bed, also very comfortable. Linen and towels are provided. The living area opens onto a generous deck with outdoor furniture. The cabin has reverse cycle air-conditioning and a washing machine. It does not have a dishwasher or a clothes dryer. What looks like a dryer is just the shell of one! If you see washing on the clothesline in the backyard it is because freshly laundered linen and towels are being dried by the sun and the wind. We are currently seeking to let the premises, furnished, for a six-month period from June to November (flexible). These dates are currently blocked on the calendar but enquiries are welcome. Guest access Guests have access to the cabin and deck. A carport is attached to the cabin and there is room for a second car in the driveway, quite apart from parking spaces used by the hosts. The bus stop is an easy walk, around 200m away. Other things to note As of 2026, a professional cleaning company is being employed to keep the cabin in good order. Of the sum paid by the guest for any stay, long or short, $125 goes to the cleaning company. Let us know of any shortfalls. This BnB has the bed, but not the breakfast. There are cafes and restaurants within walking distance, at the top shops and the bottom shops. Minimum stay is two nights, but if there is a gap between bookings we may make a single night available if we are in residence. Couples with small children often stay with us, and we do not charge for anyone under the age of sixteen. In addition to the single sofa bed, a foldaway stretcher bed is available. If you have children, let us know, and we will see what we can do to make your stay comfortable. Pets are welcome and often come, but note: 1) The property is unfenced. If your dog is a tearaway you will need to keep it inside or on a leash. 3) If your dog sheds hair, it would be great if you could clean up after it before checking out. Guests are advised to contact us immediately if any problem arises with the cabin during their stay. We would seek to resolve the problem immediately or provide a refund.
