The space The castle is located 20 km from Montpellier in the famous wine region of Pic-Saint-Loup and 25 minutes from the A9 highway exit of Vendargues. 300 m², 8 bedrooms, sleeps 24, 6 bathrooms, a hammam with shower, heated 12 m pool. The building, over 250 years old, has been completely renovated and redecorated to offer all modern comforts in a splendid and historic setting. The large terrace offers one of the most beautiful views of the Pic Saint Loup and opens onto a shaded park with swimming pool. The Château de Valflaunès was the home of Baron Jean-Jacques Louis Durand, the first mayor of Montpellier. It is now known thanks to its winemaker, Fabien Reboul, and his "Château de Valflaunès" winery This 18th century mansion offers all modern comforts: 12.5 m heated swimming pool covered with an electric shutter, exotic terrace shaded if necessary of 80 m², hammam, four bathrooms including one with bathtub, six bedrooms (sleeps 15) with new and quality beds of 160 cm and an extra bed of 90 cm in three of them. Three baby beds and a high chair are also available. Linens are provided, beds are made and each room has plenty of storage. For people with reduced mobility, one of the bedrooms (33 m²), with a 160 cm canopy bed and a 90 cm bed, is on the ground floor. The bathroom for this room is also on the ground floor with the hammam. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, induction hobs, microwave, espresso and filter coffee makers, kettle, grill, and all necessary utensils. A Weber gas barbecue is available for beautiful summer evenings. You can also enjoy an American pool table, a large living room with 50-inch TV, a ping pong table, a game of petanque and a basketball hoop... The Pic Saint-Loup terroir is renowned for the quality of its wines that you can taste in the local cellars or in the restaurant/wine bar located on the village square, "la belle vigne". You can discover the city center of Montpellier 25 km away, that of Nîmes 50 km away or the beaches, the Grotte des Demoiselles, hikes around the Pic Saint-Loup, the glassmakers of Claret, Anduze, an adventure park, local markets on weekends, etc. Brochures on local activities will be available upon arrival. Counting the castle and the apartments, we therefore arrive at 24 people if all the double beds and single beds are occupied.
