The village is located between the Adriatic Sea and the Skadar Lake National Park and is connected to Bar and Podgorica via the narrow asphalt road and the railway line. The village is 10 km from the famous seaside resort of Sutomore and 5 km from Virpazar, the starting point for cruises on the lake. In the first half of the last century, the “Ćiro” train passed through the village of Limljane, which is why it was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the only village with 5 single-track stations. Limljani are known for the cultivation of the autochthonous grape variety “Vranac,” from which high-quality wine has been produced for centuries; tourists can taste and buy it in several wine cellars and restaurants in the village. In the neighborhood you can also buy homemade cow cheese and milk, grapes, figs, pomegranates and more. In addition to numerous cultural and historical monuments in the vicinity, the Church of St. Thomas is a special sight in the village. In 1896, it slipped 150 meters from its first location due to tectonic shifts and persistent precipitation. The surrounding houses have collapsed, but the church has not; it has turned 45 degrees and taken on a new direction - northwest-southeast - and bears witness to eternal, undying values. Within a radius of around 10 km, you can enjoy numerous attractions by the sea, on the lake and in the mountains.
