1926-built traditional house in a beautiful garden

Built in 1926 on a quiet hill just 10 minutes from the city center of Kyoto via taxi, our guesthouse is a traditional wooden house with a beautiful garden. It has an area of 1300 square meters and is often visited by lovely birds, butterflies and animals. Nature lovers and those who interested in traditional lifestyle and preserving historic architecture are most welcome. This room is available for up to four people. There is another room in the same building. Please contact us if you need. The space Totally Japanese-style 45-square-meter tatami-floor-suite facing the garden with bathroom.Two adjacent rooms separated by fusuma sliding doors are equipped with traditional "futon" beds, free Wi-Fi and an air conditioner. 1 to 4people can stay. We do not offer meal but we have a big kitchen with a cooking range, a fridge, a microwave, utensils and dishes as well as free coffee and tea. There is no supermarket nor convenience store nearby because the neighborhood is completely residential area. It takes 12 minutes walk to the closest subway station. We run a small restaurant with 6 seats in the garden (Only for dinner. Advanced reservation are required). Guest access -Kitchen -Bathroom -Restroom -Garden During your stay Basically we will reply to your inquiries in 48 hours before booking. It is very easy to communicate with us while you are here, because we live in the same property. Other things to note Check-in and check-out: Check-in: 15:00 - 19:00 Check-out: by 11:00 Please let us know your arrival time by the day before. Cleaning: The bath rooms and the kitchen are cleaned daily and your room every 5 days. Bath towels are changed every 2 days and bed linen every 5 days. Curfew: We have no curfew. Please don't disturb the peace of those in the neighborhood late at night and early in the morning. Getting there: We will tell you how to get to the guesthouse when you book the room. If you come by foot you need to walk up a steep slope from the nearby subway station . Key: The key given to you is to the front gate. The door should be locked when leaving the house. Losing front door keys comes with a 3000 JPY replacement fee. Kitchen: Free coffee, tea and seasonings are available. Please make sure all dishes, glasses, silverware and cookware are washed and left in the drainer basket. Laundry service: You can use laundry washer and dryer from 9:00 to 21:00 Parties: No parties, no events and no one staying who have not booked in. Pets: No pets are allowed. Shoes: Please take off shoes at the entrance and do not wear them in the house. Smoking: Our guesthouse is a nonsmoking facility. Smoking is permitted only in the designated area (outside the building). Please use ashtrays or cigarette ash containers. Taxi: You may call taxis via APP Trash: There are trash bins for separated refuse in the kitchen. Please separate combustible from non-combustible trash and we will dispose of them.
