This traditional Yorkshire stone terraced cottage is ideally located in the picturesque village of Scorton in North Yorkshire. Literally on the doorstep you have 2 pubs, both serving excellent food, a shop/post office as well as a petrol station. Scorton has the advantage of so many beautiful walks which are accessible without a car. With so many activities within the locality of Scorton cottage you can enjoy as active or relaxing a holiday as you wish. The space Scorton Cottage is fully central heated and spread over 2 floors. You enter the cottage into a hallway with Victorian style flooring and a coat rack. At the front is the living room where you can rest your feet in one of the two comfy sofas. There is an electric stove fire in front of the original fireplace, a TV and window that catches the afternoon and evening sun. The hallway also leads to a bright well equipped kitchen/diner with a fridge and full size freezer, an electric oven, electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. The back door takes you onto a large decked area, a perfect place to sit with a glass of wine or dine al-fresco. Further down is a lawn and another stone flagged patio area which catches the evening sun. Beyond this is a stone outbuilding which you may use for storage of bikes etc. There is an iron and ironing board in the kitchen. The staircase takes you up to a generous bathroom boasting a large shower as well as a very large deep bath. What better way to relax after a day in the dales. Next to the bathroom is a spacious, light and airy twin bedroom with a large window and built in wardrobes as well as a dressing table complete with mirror. Next to this is the second bedroom with a king size bed and set of drawers, both bedrooms have the original fireplaces still set in the walls (however these are for decoration only). Guest access The whole cottage will be yours with the exception of a kitchen cupboard which will be locked as well as one of the out buildings. On arrival I will either meet you there or leave a key in the key safe depending on your schedule. Other things to note Well behaved dogs are welcome but I would kindly request that they are not left alone in the cottage or allowed on the furniture or beds. Dog beds are not provided so please bring a pet blanket or bed with you.
