Casa Quintinha: holiday home for 2 adults (18+) with 2 floors, located in small-scale accommodation Quinta Maragota. In the past this was the part of the farmhouse where harvest and dried fruit from the land were kept and where farm animals roamed around the walled courtyard. Now it is a comfortable and attractive holiday home with a private courtyard garden where bougainvilleas bloom abundantly for most of the year. Beach, fishing village Fuseta and the lagoons of Ria Formosa are only 4km away. The space Via a wrought iron gate you enter the private courtyard garden and front door of holiday home Casa Quintinha (50m2), one of the four two person holiday homes in our small-scale accommodation Quinta Maragota. Holiday home features (all private): - The holiday home has two floors. - On the ground floor (entered via three steps) the open plan kitchen and living room are situated. - The kitchen area has plenty of storage space, various appliances, cooking and eating utensils and a large dining table. - The living area is tastefully and comfortably furnished with a sofa and armchair and offers a view to the inner private courtyard. - The kitchen and living room are separated by an open staircase to the first floor. - On the first floor you will find the closed bedroom, with a comfortable king size bed (180x200cm). - The bathroom has a toilet, walk-in shower, washbasin and towel radiator. Towels, beach towels and a hairdryer are available. There is a sliding window for ventilation, with a view to the private courtyard garden. - Outside the bathroom is the dressing area, where there is room for your personal belongings and suitcases. - For both cooling and heating, an air conditioner with cold/warmth exchanger is available - All windows in the house have double insulated glass and mosquito nets. Private terrace (100m2): The holiday home has a large high walled private courtyard garden. In this courtyard there is both sun and shade all year round and it has several seating and relaxing areas. There are lots of plants and some trees, which gives a lush atmosphere, especially when the large bougainvilleas are in bloom. Communal garden: In our sloping Mediterranean garden (5000m2) which is playfully and attractively decorated, you can enjoy different colours and flowering plants and (fruit) trees in every season. To cool down, there is an outdoor shower and a lovely swimming pool surrounded by flowering plants, olive and almond trees. There are several relaxation areas created to be able to retreat into the sun as well as the shade, and to enjoy a snack and a drink alone or together with other guests, listening to the birds and the cicadas. The sunrises and sunsets and clear starry skies are often a pleasure to watch. General information about the accommodation (adults only 18+): Small-scale accommodation Quinta Maragota, situated between fruit, almond and olive groves in the rural countryside of the beautiful Eastern Algarve and close to the beach (4km, Fuseta), offers 4 spacious holiday homes in an authentic Portuguese farmhouse, where persons from 18 years can stay with us. In this way we offer a place to people who want peace and quiet without children. The holiday homes are suitable for 2 adults. The farmhouse has been fully renovated (2020) and all the holiday homes are very comfortable in every season and smoke- and pet-free. Surroundings: The beach of the lively fishing village Fuseta is nearby (4 km). From here, and also from the beautiful coastal towns of Tavira and Olhão (both 15 minutes' drive), there are boat connections to the paradise islands off the coast. The beautiful nature reserve Ria Formosa, with salt production, lagoons and many birds, is very close (2km) and offers many walking and cycling opportunities. There are also lots of nice restaurants, various shops, supermarkets and places of interest at a short distance. The nearest restaurant is a 20-minute walk away.
