Description
The Old Priory dates back to 1170 with original architectural features from the later medieval period. As well as a priory, it was once owned by Oxford University, later a travellers' rest, a residence, a shop, a private ladies' school and a museum. The space Original features include medieval beamed ceilings, flagstone floors, ecclesiastical wood panelling, inglenook fireplaces and a victorian cooking range. To the side is a private walled garden. All the bedrooms have been refurbished since 2014 and have en suite facilities and flat screen televisions. Guest access Guests have sole use of the house and walled garden. The car park is shared with the owners but there is space for up to 12 cars. Other things to note Although it feels like a country house we are actually in a town centre and have shopping facilities within 2-3 minutes walk.
