Barnes Beach Resort is located in Malakibay, Rizal Town. The resort consists of four native style bamboo cabins and a kitchen, store, and recreation room. Come enjoy the clear, blue waters with corral reefs just a stones throw away. Kate's House has two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room. However, we do also have a large dining space near the kitchen if you want a change of pace. 3 meals a day are included. Breakfast will consist of: fresh local fruits, eggs, bread, pancakes, a protein, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate Lunch: fresh local fruits, vegetable, rice, local dish (adobo, afritada, catch of the day), and one beverage of choice Dinner: fresh local fruits, vegetable, rice, fresh catch of the day (fish, shrimp, crab, lobster, squid, etc.) or beef, chicken, or pork, and one beverage of choice Snacks will also be provided each afternoon Please let us know of any food allergies As we are in a remote area, electricity is solar and generator powered. Our solar power is 12V and will provide lighting throughout the night. We will also have 220V generator power available each night from 6:30 to 9:30 PM that can be used to charge your electronic equipment. Cell phone coverage is good here. Prepaid Sim cards should be purchased in Puerto Princessa prior to traveling to Malakibay. We recommend Smart as the provider. Internet service is weak but available also from the Smart provider. Guest access You can enjoy free access to our native style canoes, water sports equipment, snorkeling gear, volleyball, paddle ball, beach chairs, hammocks. Also to our dining area (chance to mingle with other guests) Recreation Room: Play darts, board games, card games, or table tennis. Store: Purchase sun screen, insect repellent, snacks, souvenirs, etc. Guided tours of the local areas (rice fields, mangroves, boat rides, fishing, snorkeling, mountain hikes, etc.) are available. Other things to note We highly recommend that you bring an insect repellent and sun screen, both the mosquitoes and UV rays are very strong here. However, both are available for purchase in our onsite store. Don't forget to exchange your money to pesos before coming to Rizal (no ATM available). Recommend changing your currency in the airport in Manila, also available in the airport in Puerto Princesa. Or to withdraw your money from ATM in Puerto Princesa.
