An Idyllic Family Chateau with 8 Bedrooms and 5 1/2 Bathrooms which can accommodate 17 guests. The Winter House, a separate dwelling can be rented seperately and sleeps 5 guests. Large eat in kitchen, swimming pool, games room, Badminton, Barbecues, indoor and outdoor dining, Petanque pitch, bicycles for rent, DVD library and more, all set in 23 Hectares of Fields and Woodlands at the Centre of the Forests and Valleys of the Correze. The space A 15th century Chateau in the beautiful pristine region of the Correze which has now been completely restored and comfortably sleeps 17 people. 17 can sleep in the chateau but 4 can also sleep in the Winter House which can be rented separately. Approaching the Chateau down the long winding tree lined drive for the first time is like stepping into the past. The Chateau park itself is 23 hectares of fields, streams and many 300 year old trees. The oldest parts of the house date back to the fourteenth century and was built using the granite from the property itself. There are 8 bedrooms in the main residence some with fireplaces and 4.5 bathrooms. There is also1 full bathroom at the swimming pool. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the Winter House. Each room in the main house is luxuriously decorated and filled with antiques. There is an enormous tapestry lined salon/drawing room with walk in fireplace, two libraries, dining room and very large fully equipped kitchen and pantry. The house has been restored to a very high standard and the rooms are both elegant and comfortable. This house is perfect for families and entertaining. There is a 17 metre long salt water pool, designed to blend in with the surroundings and a large lake, with kayaking, canoeing and fishing facilities, less than one kilometre away. Guests who enjoy cooking will be thrilled with the full range of cooking hardware as well as the professional LaCanche stove. With so much comfort guests are generally reluctant to do the many things on offer around the Chateau including the sightseeing, canoeing, biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, swimming, tennis etc. Given the size of the property there is a caretaker on the grounds and daily maid service can be available upon request. 14 bicycles of all sizes are also available to guests for an extra fee. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire Chateau and the Clock House with all of its bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens (with the exception of one storage room). There is parking for a minimum of 8 vehicles. Other things to note Only the entire home is rented. There is no individual room rate. There will be an Autumn (€59.50), Winter (€85.00 ) or Early Spring (€59.50) per day heating charge which is payable upon arrival. The heating charge will be applicable to the number of days required to heat the residence prior to guest arrival as well as the number of days in residence.
