We have just had bush cleared in front of lake opening lake view.. This funky, rustic lakeside bungalow was built in 1975. It's not luxury accommodation but loads of character. Apart from a 5 night minimum from 23rd Decembder 2024 to 11th January 2025 This relaxing holiday home is the perfect oasis away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Come and enjoy this holiday home set on a tropical nature reserve 100 meters from the waters edge of the lake at North Avoca. North Avoca Beach is positioned between Avoca and Terrigal Beaches and offers the ultimate in surfing conditions and the ideal location for a beach walk. A short distance away is Terrigal Beach, one of the best known beaches on the NSW Central Coast. Terrigal Beach is a cosmopolitan seaside town with magnificent pine trees, alfresco dining and a shopping strip of boutique stores. Terrigal beach is patrolled by surf rescue teams all year round, so provides a safe swimming environment for young families. "The Haven" is Terrigal's small harbour and is a popular place to dive. The house will be exclusively yours for the duration of your stay and is perfect for families and friends who want to enjoy a vacation in this stunning coastal enclave. The house is located in a beautiful nature reserve, situated next to one of the most picturesque waterways in the area. There is no lawn surrounding the house but just natural bush. As you are so close to North Avoca Beach you have ample space to relax in an outdoor setting a short distance away. If you want manicured lawns this is not the place for you. You can enjoy the peaceful bush setting with lake glimpses from the outdoor back deck area adjoining the home (pictures included). The design of this eclectic and unique home is based on the Beachcomber houses of the 1970's with large windows, great layout and wooden ceiling beams. The house has 3 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and separate toilet and downstairs laundry with undercover washing line. The bedding configuration is as follows: Bedroom 1: Queen bed Bedroom 2: Double bed Bedroom 3: 2 x single beds We do not allow pets to stay with guests due to past bad experiences with barking and damage to property but in case you are allergic we do have a family short haired dog stay sometimes. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask ! Guest access The whole house is accessible. There is no wheel chair access and please see photos of front entrance steps if an elderly or disabled person would like to stay here they may find it difficult to manage entrance steps. Other things to note Note that North Avoca is quiet compared to Avoca beach (South end) which is very busy especially in holidays and hard to park etc but North Avoca, we love as its peaceful and lots of rainforest. We are half way between Terrigal where all the restaurants are and Avoca beach or south avoca. Please note that as this is self catering accommodation no consumables are provided as part of the booking. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, toiletries etc are all to be provided by guests. Cleaning products are provided, tea towels and kitchen cloths. Bedding and bath towels are all provided by the host. Beds will be made up prior to your arrival. Beach towels are to be provided by the guests. We have a strict No Schoolies rule end of November/early December. No dishwasher. Compost bin at end of path down back of property to right. Strictly only vegetable & fruit waste. 3 night minimum October long weekend 2025 Please note we cannot provide a left luggage service prior to check-in or after check-out. A late checkout is possible if staying only a two night weekend outside of busy summer holiday season or provided no other people are booked to arrive day you leave.. his is not a party house and we ask guests to keep noise down and music after 10pm No animals are allowed at the property. Children welcome. We have a protected flying fox population down lake a few 100 mtrs away but when it rains they can emit a smell which some guests have noted and it is nothing in our house.
