Consisting of a double bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds, a living room, a sofa, a kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, fully furnished, renovated, and a large private garden. Terrace overlooking the sea with a gazebo, plus a livable terrace. Washing machine, air conditioning and LCD TV, Wi-Fi. Independent entrance, indoor parking for two cars or on the street. Public transportation The space Located close to the Natural Reserve of the Roman coast, it has characteristics of privacy and silence while being a few meters from free beaches and establishments, it has a garden for the exclusive use of the guest. The dunes of Passoscuro are a beautiful dune environment of about three kilometers, crossed by the mouths of two streams (the Fosso Cupino to the north and the Rio Palidoro further south). The environment of these dunes is exceptional but also very fragile, which is why they should be protected with all our efforts. The dunes are formed by the action of the winds that blow from the sea towards the hinterland, in the stretches where the waves hitting against promontories, islets or infralittoral cliffs lose kinetic energy and deposit the sand. Dunes are not static structures, they are unstable, they are subject to continuous displacement and resizing caused by the direction and strength of the wind. Generally, the side of the dune exposed to the sea is more affected by the erosive action of the wind, while the protected side increases due to the accumulation of sand grains. Sand begins to accumulate when it encounters rocks or plants. Vegetation is therefore of fundamental importance for the formation of coastal dunes, as it creates an impediment to the advancement of sand towards the hinterland. The dunes are also an important place for the many species of seabirds and waders (i.e. those that frequent and feed in humid and marshy environments, such as herons and egrets) that frequent this place, and that can be observed around the mouth of the Rio Palidoro especially at the first light of dawn. Not to be forgotten is the Kentish plover, a small bird that nests in February-March among the plant materials stranded on the embryonic dune. This bird is an excellent qualitative indicator of the dune environment, although today it is increasingly endangered due to changes in its natural habitat. Unfortunately, in addition to dealing with seagulls, crows, canids and other predatory mammals, it also has to deal with man, who often destroys and disturbs its environment or simply tramples on its eggs while walking. Guest access You can park your car on the street for free or, with a little practice, you can enter the courtyard through the gate; it is advisable to enter in forward gear. From the exclusive garden you can access the attic via a 15-step staircase Other things to note Not many people are aware that the beach of Passoscuro, north of the State Natural Reserve of the Roman Coast, was the protagonist beach in the final scene of the famous film 'La Dolce Vita' by Federico Fellini. In addition, in a restaurant in Passoscuro, the scene of the first approach between the two characters who will then be the protagonists of the scene that concludes the film was also filmed.
