Turn of the Century Farmhouse

Find space, peace and a place to call home.....West Cork is wild and wonderful and the house belongs here, set in an acre that few know is there! A partially renovated farmhouse with its original features, it is an ideal place to explore the many scenic and very special places nearby. All are welcome - pets too! As of May, 2020 Wendy a new co-host is maintaining the property and ensuring that it clean . There are spiders no matter how clean 🕷️ This is a traditional old farmhouse . The space The farmhouse really is rural and peaceful, other than the boat in the front ( which is planted) and a couple of rock gardens, the rest is natural... wild primroses, daffodils, fox gloves... Newly constructed parking area for easy access . The road has been improved , however it is still a dirt and rock boreen so should be driven on slowly ! With high clearance , not suitable for all vehicles. Guest access Farmhouse is in the middle of an acre, surrounded by working farms, one is a dairy that regularly rotates its cows, so some times the girls are right next door and you can watch as the Farmer twice a day calls them to come in to get milked. On the backside is another farmer, only has a few beef cows, nevertheless he comes regularly up the road to check on them. I will nearly alway be here to guide you in . Other things to note Private road to the farmhouse is only about a quarter of a mile, however it is not for the faint of heart. Meaning it is truly a Farm rd, and I recommend a vehicle with a higher profile. No you don’t need a 4x4 however it is not a Road you want to rush - Drive slowly and cautiously and you'll be fine. However I do have a jeep you can use for the driveway. Also there is plenty of bird watching and wild life around , There are a couple of pheasants, foxes, hare, hedgehogs, badgers . As well as the dog and cat and chickens.
