Dragonfly Cottage, is just 10 minutes drive from Brecon, between the villages Pencelli and Llanfrynach, it is set within the courtyard of our 1750s stone farmhouse. Once a traditional coach house, it has been thoughtfully converted into a charming and comfortable holiday cottage. The property blends modern amenities with original character, including vaulted ceilings and exposed oak beams throughout. The sitting area offers a comfy sofa and armchair, a wood burner for cosy evenings, a flat-screen TV, DVD player and stereo. The bathroom features a sleek white suite with a shower over the bath, toilet, sink, heated towel rail, ceiling-mounted speaker (linked to the stereo), and soft mood lighting. The two bedrooms are tastefully furnished with oak wardrobes, chests of drawers, and bedside tables. One is a double room with a king-size bed, and the other is a twin. The well-equipped kitchen includes a halogen hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment. A washing machine is also available for guest use. Outside, there’s a private seating area with a table and chairs - perfect for morning coffee or an evening drink. Allocated parking is provided for up to two cars, and secure storage is available for bikes. Just steps from the canal, Dragonfly Cottage is ideal for walking, cycling, or boating. Brecon is only 10 minutes away by car, and a traditional village pub can be reached with a scenic 30-minute walk along the canal. Our other three cottages are opposite, housed in a range of sympathetically restored stone outbuildings. - There is space for two cars directly in front of the property. - You also have your own private patio with bistro seating - perfect for dining and relaxing. - The property is just 150 metres from the canal towpath, offering easy, flat walking and cycling, and is popular with canoeists and paddle boarders. -We welcome one dog for an additional charge of £30. Other things to note - I provide a starter pack, with a few things to get you started, but the unit is self catering. So don't forget to bring your own breakfast things. - Linen, towels and basic toiletries all provided, washing up liquid, dish cloths, scourers, tea towels, Tea, Coffee, Sugar and 2 toilet rolls. (No fresh milk, but we are next door if you havent brought your own) - Cot and high chair available on request. - We do allow one dog (at £30 per stay) - The property is part of a set of holiday cottages. It is a small friendly family run business. We are also neighbours to a pretty canal boat marina which is private but friendly.
