Welcome to our alpine getaway in the heart of Rauris, Austria. Away from the glitz and glamour of the bigger resorts and towns, Rauris feels like a step back in time. In 2018, the apartment was completely renovated to a luxurious and high standard. Vaulted ceilings in the living area, wood-beam ceilings in the bedroom, wide-plank wood floors throughout, and locally sourced Rauris stone tile in the bathroom combine with the beautiful view to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The space All the comforts of home are here. The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, and Siemens appliances, including; oven, stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, and glasses/mugs are included. Guest access Our apartment has its own private deck with a beautiful view of the village chapel and mountains. Other things to note Although our apartment will sleep four, we feel that more than two adults is uncomfortable which is why we limit the number of adults to two. The listing photos were taken by the previous owner. Since we purchased the apartment, the sofa, rugs, and dining table and chairs have been replaced by ones that fit better with the traditional architectural details of the building, while still retaining a clean and contemporary feel. No more purple sofa, and the dining table is larger and rectangular, rather than round. Our building is located next to the village church which means the bells ring at various times throughout the day. We find the sound they make charming and, in the almost five years we’ve owned the apartment, have only had one guest mention the noise.
