The island of Veli Drvenik is a small fishing village and the town of Trogir, which has declared the National Geographic Year 2016 as the most beautiful city in the world. In the immediate vicinity are the island of Čiovo ,Mali Drvenik and Šolta. The space Island Drvenik Veli is a secluded fishing village. A place to rest and get away from the busy everyday life. The island of Veli Drvenik has a good ferry connection to Trogir (3xday) and 1x week directly to Split. With this ride you can also get to neighboring island Drvenik Mali. On the mainland you can do many tourist activities,the travel agencies offer many programs. On the island there are several bays with lonely beaches of pebbles,of which Solinska,Kokošinje,Pernatica,Krknjaš Mali is known. Krknjaš Mali also with sandy beach, located on the southeast side of the island,known as the "Blue Lagoon". There is also a well-known fish restaurant where the owner is a professional fisherman. All bays are easily accessible via gravel roads. On foot between 20min and 60min from apartment. The island is good to explore on foot and can discover many interesting and beautiful corners. So we recommend stable footwear for the hike,as the few roads and paths are quite stony and rugged. For guests who do not need a car, it can be parked in a private and guarded parking lot in the village of Vinišće(on the mainland opposite Veli Drvenik). The owner of the car park will drive you to Drvenik Veli directly in front of the house. On request, we are happy to organize this crossing for you. The vegetation on the island consists predominantly of olives,carob,figs, almondtrees,berries,holm oaks,oranges,mandariums and lemons. Among other things, in the center there is also a small shop with fresh food as well as fruits and vegetables. Immediately next to it is the post office and the bakery. The main food we recommend to buy it in Trogir like meat...because the apartment is equipped with a large fridge and freezer. Although the place is small it has some restaurants (Konoba). We are at our guests' disposal for help,advice and recommendation. For organizing a boat trip around the island,sightseeing, excursions, etc. Since the house has a large barbecue, the guests can use it, and we are also happy to assist with it. Apartment A2+3 is located on the second floor and has a bedroom with two single beds and an extra bed. The bathroom is equipped with shower and washing machine. The kitchen has dishwasher, electric ceramic plate 2 +2 gas / electric,oven, large fridge with freezer, kettle, dishes. In one room is the kitchen with dining table and 4 chairs, living room TV / sat and corner set(two additional single beds), from this room is the exit to the balcony, with table/four chairs and a Tenda, which offers a breathtaking view over the entire bay!
