Apple Hill Farm Home
The property is set on an Apple Hill seasonal orchard & garden. The area is semi-rural with city-like amenities & local small-town charm. Guests are welcome to explore the Apple Hill Growers Association farm on tour, by request, or on a walk. Take advantage of the serene rural life, nature, and tractor rides in Fall. Within a few blocks are a coffee shop, winery, restaurant, and other farms. A few miles away is the bustling city of Placerville. Lake Tahoe is an hour away. The renovated farm home was built in the early 1900s and had four bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. The kitchen and dining room have ample space to accommodate up to a dozen guests. Unique touches like the wood-burning stove, stained glass, and wrap-around porch make it a cozy stay while visiting Apple Hill or nearby areas. For return guests, to ensure the farm is sustainable for us to maintain, we have added a 2-night minimum. For more information, please reach out to the hosts. Thank you for your cooperation! Guests have access to the entire home and outdoor farm area within walking distance of a Fall-seasonal garden. We ask guests to reach out to the host for a property tour (available in the Fall and upon request). In addition, parking arrangements for trailers or multiple large vehicles can also be made. Please use the keypad and code provided in the check-in instructions for entry. We are available by phone 24 hours a day and by text, email and Airbnb messenger during the day, evening and nighttime hours. Tom, the owner, can make himself available in-person as needed after checking in if anything comes up. Don't hesitate to contact us! With that said, we ask common sense reasonableness--please no 2:00 a.m. calls for farm tour guide information. The neighborhood is a quiet rural and friendly community. Many of the locals know each other and look after the area. A majority of the folks in the area come from families of farmers or have some connection to the rich agricultural history of Apple Hill. A car or bike will be preferred if traveling to and from Apple Hill farms. Nearby farms, a spa, wineries and breweries are within a few miles from the property. If staying within the vicinity of the property there is a local restaurant, coffee shop, mini mart and a couple local farms within walking/biking distance to the property. The farm does get snow in the season between typically December-February. For weather conditions, road closures, chain requirements, safety travel tips, etc. we recommend folks visit the CalTrans site.
