Accessed from a narrow flower-filled street in the charming centro storico of Città della Pieve, the second-floor Top suite is a luxuriously renovated self-catering duplex apartment with a stylish living room and a charming attic mezzanine. Restaurants, cafés and sights are within strolling distance. The Top suite is one of three stylishly simple options offered by Pieve Suites: perfect for couples singly, but ideal for groups if taken together with the Garden and/or Mid suites. The space The bedroom of the second-floor (third-floor US) Top suite duplex apartment sits beneath one of Città della Pieve’s beautiful terracotta roofs: a skylight lets you star-gaze (though there’s a blind if you’d prefer to sleep…) from a comfortable bed made up with crisp cotton sheets in summer and a cosy duvet in winter. In the downstairs living area French doors allow a gorgeous view of the Umbrian countryside: you can admire it from the table by the window over breakfast, an aperitivo or a light meal prepared in the unit's well equipped kitchenette. A comfy sofa in this living area invites guests to curl up with a good book, or linger over coffee or tea from the in-suite facilities. The sofa can also be made into a full-sized double bed to accommodate up to two extra guests. There are air-con/heating units on both levels for optimum temperature control. The compact bathroom has a roomy shower, a radiator for keeping towels warm and organic toiletries made in Umbria. With Città della Pieve's gorgeous medieval centro storico right on your doorstep, it's difficult to tear yourself away from the town's restaurants, cafés, shops and sights. But the town is also an excellent base for exploring the entrancing Umbria-Tuscany borderlands surrounding it. Though Pieve Suites is at the very heart of this bustling town, the unit is quiet and secluded – perfect for a good night's sleep. PLEASE NOTE: there are two flights of stairs to the living room and bathroom of the Top suite, and a further steep flight to reach the bed on the mezzanine. There is NO lift/elevator. The latest addition to Pieve Suites is a dedicated cycling garage, where guests on two wheels can safely lock up their bikes and make adjustments and do repairs with an extensive set of tools. What's more, cycling guests can take advantage of a wide range of routes, for all tastes and levels, designed and mapped by the owner's road-cycling husband. Guest access There is a fully independent, luxuriously appointed self-catering studio apartment on each floor of this three-level centro storico townhouse. Access is from a narrow flower-filled street, along a shared corridor. A central staircase (two flights) leads to this suite. Other things to note On the second (US third) floor, with another flight of steep steps to reach the mezzanine, our Top suite is not suitable for guests with mobility problems. There is no lift/elevator. Please note that while the bed is on the mezzanine, the bathroom is below on the living room level.
