The Crow's Nest~ House of Newe

Enjoy the old, historical house or the 12 acres of mostly woodlands at our doorstep. This area has an abundance of castles, standing stones, distilleries and lots and lots of nature- there are long walks waiting, just step out the door! Come enjoy a Newe Experience! The space The Crow's Nest is a cosy flat within House of Newe. It has all the Bohemian Highland charm of the house itself but is self-contained. The big room, known as the Lookout, is set up as a dining area and lounge. The table is under the east window-a great place to greet the morning and watch the birds. The double south-facing windows bring in a lot of light (known to inspire a Painter or two)! One of the two love seats turns in to a snug wee double bed. In the wardrobe, there is a screen and DVDs and movies for the whole family. There are also games, puzzles, books. The bedroom and shower rooms have been completely renovated but still maintain the unique charm of Newe. The kitchenette (The Galley) is small but well-equipped, and we are happy to provide you with anything that might be missing. We have had people folks rent the flat for an entire month, to work remotely. The space is well equipped for working and the wifi works well for video meetings. "An incredibly peaceful place full of lots of creative energy!" Guest access There is also access to the Jacobean Dining Room~ a place to ponder local (and family) history. Other things to note *Please Note* Strathdon in the winter can be harder to access if there is snow. Always check the weather when travelling (October-April).
