My ground-floor apartment overlooks the massive tree-lined pool of the "Drift" resort, and might well be the most sought-after in the complex. The Resort is across the road from the beach at Palm Cove and is surrounded by cafes & restaurants, and has easy access to golf courses, nearby adventure-sports, and the iconic Great Barrier Reef & Daintree Rainforest. Palm Cove lies on a palm-fringed 4km stretch of sandy coastline 20 minutes north of Cairns CBD & Airport. The space Apartment #2105 is a modern, self-contained ground-floor residence nestled amongst the tropical rainforest-gardens and sunny pool-deck of the resort. This large air-conditioned apartment offers an open-plan, fully-equiped living/dining/kitchen area leading to your private patio just steps to the quarter-acre lagoon-pool and spa (with free wi-fi everywhere). With “accessibility” & mobility-limitations in mind, this apartment is ideal for those concerned and is equipped accordingly. Flat entrances, a wheelchair ramp between reception and the room as well as to cafes & beach, the bathroom with grab-rail and shower stools. Guest access Commonly referred to as a TWO BEDROOM FAMILY, the main bedroom is connected to the bathroom, and the second bedroom is a smaller "daybed" area with another queen bed, connected to the master bedroom but fully screened-off for privacy. There is separate access from both bedrooms to the toilet / bathroom. The shower is equipped with a grab rail and the bathroom has two shower stools available. The apartment has two Queen-sized beds and is most comfortably for a family with children. It can also sleep 4 adults for short holiday stays. Whilst being fully air-conditioned, the ceiling fans provide very effective cooling as well as being more environmentally favourable.
