Welcome to the Curtis cabin! Located 3 miles from the historical downtown Woodstock with many surrounding amenities and outdoor activities to enjoy. We are located right off of Route 4, one of the main roads of Woodstock, for easy access. There is plenty of space for multiple guests and families. Take that vacation you have always wanted and come relax on the wrap around porch, enjoying a nice glass of wine, staring at the beautiful Ottauquechee River, and wildlife that Vermont has to offer. A Vermont cabin is so unique and special, you will have access to the entire home and all of its charm. On the main floor floor you have a cozy open living room with dining room that seats four, and full kitchen with all the amenities you need. We have a refrigerator, freezer, gas stove, dishwasher, and most importantly a coffee pot! You will also find fresh eggs and local coffee. Additionally located on the main floor is a full bathroom and two bedrooms. One bedroom provides a queen bed and the other bedroom provides two twin beds. If you have a larger crowd the basement is the perfect place to hang out around the fireplace. Where you can enjoy leather sofas, a 60 inch television, and another dining area to fit more people. Also located in the basement is the bunk room, where there is a bunk bed (double on bottom, twin on top) and another twin bed. The loft has been transformed into a master suite. Provided with a king size bed, full bathroom, and rocking chair to read and relax. You have access to the entire home, all three floors. There is a barn with one car parking access if you choose. You have to lift the garage door to access, it is not automatic. We are less than 3 miles from historical downtown Woodstock, where you can enjoy local shopping, a day at the spa at the Woodstock Inn, and enjoy many fine dining and casual food options. We are also 20 minutes from Quechee, Vermont where you can enjoy a day at the Quechee Club, golfing, swimming, and skiing. Also located in Quechee is the famous Simon Pearce glassblowing experience. Enjoy a fantastic glass of wine and some Vermont cheeses, while watching the masters at work creating beautiful glass sculptures, glasses, bowls, and many other unique treasures. 25 minutes west is the famous Killington ski resort and 35 minutes southwest you have access to the Okemo Mountain. Right around the corner, another great option is the smaller mountain suicide six. And if you’re focused on teaching young kids how to ski the Quechee club is a great option. 3 miles west is the Long Trail Brewery where you can enjoy some freshly brewed IPAs. If you love cheese you have to experience the Cabot cheese tasting in Quechee or visit Sugarbush farm in Woodstock. And last but not least, many hiking trails and water adventures where you can canoe or kayak or have a picnic. We hope you enjoy the experience as much as we do. So much to offer and so much to enjoy. There is plenty of space to park in the driveway. We recommend using a car to get to most locations with easy access to route 4. There should be no issues in the Spring, Summer, and Fall but in the Wintertime - we HIGHLY recommend coming with SUVs, trucks, or 4 Wheel drive vehicles. If you have any issues please contact us and we will contact our plow guy, he is very responsive. Understand that it may take him a few hours to get there. We also provide salt and shovels to assist if you chose not to wait for the plow. Curtis Cabin on a septic system, so we ask that you only flush toilet paper products. The owner Matt has built gates on either end of the wrap around porch to protect infants or young children from the stairs!
