Set in the valley of the river Lima, this manor house dates back to the 16th century and during the 18th century is subject to a significant expansion. Through its architecture and the authentic objects that adorn the house it is possible to feel the History of Portugal and the daily life evolution of a traditional Portuguese farmhouse. The property extends to the Lima river through vineyards, olive trees and meadows that are kept by the family. The space This is a place that welcomes you all year round. The bedrooms and common rooms maintain their original features, providing firewood and fireplaces for the winter. All rooms have views that take you in the gardens, the farm, the Loureiro vineyards and the mountains at a distance, making them the ideal place to rest. When the weather warms up, guests can enjoy their meals on the large terrace, sunbathe in the gardens or swim in the former granite irrigation tank that is now an outdoor pool. We offer a continental breakfast, upon request, which includes jams, teas and juices produced on the property's grounds. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and dining room for guests to enjoy, to ensure they have space to prepare their own meals if they wish. The house and the farm are intrinsically linked to the owner's family from the beginning until today. Lourenço and his family will be happy to welcome you personally to show you where the best corners of the house and the region are. Guest access The entire upper floor is reserved for guests. The bedrooms are private and have a bathroom, and all common spaces are for your use and well-being. Other things to note During the day, you will have the opportunity to participate in the various experiences that the farm provides. Namely through the collaboration of the Poney School of Ponte de Lima, which teaches classes here for children with small equines, especially the breed of native ponies called garrano. You can also choose to take nature guided tours that can take you on excursions, on foot and by typical boat, to identify edible and medicinal wild plants, bird watching and recognition of an ancient Way of Saint James. We have special nights dedicated to traditional music where during dinner you can listen to Fado or Foclore and feel the revival of the oral tradition of our country. You can also order meals prepared on the farm, with vegetarian and vegan options. These extras need to be booked in advance so we can guarantee the reservation and schedule each activity successfully. All guests are also invited to explore the farm by strolling through the gardens, vineyards, orchard, vegetable garden and along the meadows that extend to the Lima River.
