Raintree Gardens

Raintree Gardens is conveniently located in the heart of Matei across from the beach and just steps to two markets, restaurants and an organic ice cream and veggie stand. Guests will enjoy newly renovated accommodations, Air conditioning, excellent ocean views and fresh fruits & veggies right from the gardens. Ask us about our homecooked meals delivered to the door, information on tours and activities, and we are happy to provide free transportation to and from the airport! The space Raintree Gardens is a clean and comfortable 2 bedroom home with queen size beds, Air conditioning in both bedrooms, a large complete kitchen, huge covered deck with excellent ocean views and a great location just a close walk to everything. We encourage guests to make use of the fruits, herbs and veggies in the gardens (papaya, mango, soursop, passion fruit, coconut, banana, citrus, avocado, rosemary, mint, basil, peppercorns, chillies and much more). We are very happy to give garden tours! Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property as if it is their own. Fruit trees and gardens are all free to explore and pick from. Other things to note Taveuni is full of adventure, please feel free to ask us about any activities on the island you may wish to explore (Lavena coastal walk, Bouma falls, natural waterslides, International Date line, Diving the rainbow reef, fishing tours, birdwatching...) we are happy to help with this. Raintree Gardens is located right in the heart of Matei so it's just a couple minutes walk to 2 shops which sell all the basic food items, drinks, and anything else you might need. There is a beach just across the street and we have multiple restaurants all within walking distance. Please keep in mind that Fiji is a very tropical climate so we do have geckos, flies, mosquitoes etc. all over the island. The houses are fully screened in so as long as the screen doors are kept closed these critters should not find their way inside the house.
