Description

Nestled at the foot of the Malvern Hills, our location offers stunning scenery and beautiful backdrops. We have two luxury safari tents set within a secluded 3-acre wildflower meadow. Our goal is to help you unwind and relax. Enjoy a nap in your hammock, soak in your hot tub, indulge in a spa treatment or toast marshmallows around the campfire. Perfect for families, couples, and small groups—dog-friendly too—seeking a relaxing, restorative getaway. The space Meadowsweet is one of two safari tents nestled in a charming 3-acre wildflower meadow, where you can enjoy the soothing serenade of birdsong and the gentle buzzing of bees. Our glampsite is part of a larger 5-acre smallholding located in Castlemorton, an idyllic, picture-postcard village at the foot of the Malvern Hills. This property has been in our family since the 1920s, originally belonging to my great-grandparents. Our safari tents blend Art Deco-inspired interiors with the elegance of safari chic with a modern twist. Imagine velvet cushions, sumptuous bedding, cosy lighting, and your very own drinks cabinet stocked with crystal glassware. Spanning 75 square meters, our safari tents are spacious and can accommodate up to six guests, plus one baby or toddler in a travel cot, and two dogs. They are equipped with a range of modern conveniences for your comfort. The safari tent features a well-equipped open plan kitchen diner, complete with a hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, under-counter fridge with ice box, wine cooler, and Nespresso coffee machine, as well as a dining table. You’ll find plenty of crockery, utensils, pots, and pans to prepare a meal for six. Many of our guests also enjoy outdoor cooking on the fire pit, which doubles as a BBQ and includes three swing-arm BBQ racks for summer grilling. The cosy open plan lounge features comfortable seating and a wood burner, creating a warm atmosphere. For entertainment, you'll find an Amazon Echo Dot, a smart TV with Netflix access, a DVD player, and a selection of books, board games, and puzzles. There's also a drinks cabinet stocked with glasses and barware, and you can order a bottle of locally produced wine from your Welcome Tablet as you unwind for the evening. The glamorous bathroom features hot and cold water, a rainforest shower, and a heated towel rail. It includes a flushing toilet, sink, complimentary toiletries, a hairdryer, and towels. The safari lodge features three bedrooms—two doubles and one bunk room—each with storage. The larger double can accommodate a travel cot, and the bunk beds are suitable for adults. We provide all bedding and bed linens, including fluffy pillows and a cosy 10.5 tog duvet. Our high-quality cotton bed linens are professionally cleaned, ensuring crisp, fresh sheets and soft towels for your comfort. The deck overlooks the wildflower meadow and features outdoor seating and an egg swing chair, making it a picture-perfect spot to unwind and reconnect. Step outside to your private garden, where you can relax in your electric hydrotherapy hot tub, swing in your hammock, enjoy a game of badminton, or cook a hearty meal on the fire pit that doubles as a BBQ. To keep you warm by the campfire, we provide campfire blankets for your comfort. The garden is securely fenced, so you don’t need to worry if your little one or furry friend decides to explore. Our new dog spa station includes a mixer shower tap, a towel, shampoo, and a grooming brush for some pawsome pampering. There’s also ample seating and sun loungers for you to soak up the sun. While our safari tents are incredibly glamorous, with plenty of frills and luxuries, remember that you’re still camping in a tent. Nights can get chilly, especially in the cooler months, so be sure to bring warm clothing and hone your fire-lighting skills. The wood burner and outdoor fire pit will keep you cosy, and we provide electric blankets and heaters for added warmth during the cooler months. Embrace the idea of camping indoors, and you’ll be perfectly comfortable. Complimentary items include: – A welcome treat: our signature mixed box of delicious artisan bakes – Condiments: salt, pepper, olive oil, vinegar, and ketchup – Beverages: milk, Yorkshire tea bags, Douwe Egberts instant coffee, Cadbury hot chocolate, sugar, and Nespresso pods – Toiletries: body wash, shampoo, and conditioner – Starter basket: kindling, logs, and firelighters for the wood burner and fire pit – Dog welcome pack (if requested): bed, bowls, blanket, poo bags, and treats If you didn't add your pet pack(s) at checkout, please let us know how many you need. Our Dog Spa station is equipped with a towel, shampoo, and a grooming brush for your convenience. You can purchase the following items in advance: – BBQ and breakfast hampers – Spa treatments, including body massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, and both one-on-one and group yoga sessions – Bathrobe & Slippers (for adults) Please note that spa treatments must be pre-booked at least two weeks in advance, as we cannot guarantee availability. If you share your email, we’ll send a link to pre-order hampers before your stay, along with details on our spa treatments and instructions on how to book directly with the therapist. These items can be purchased during your stay: – Locally produced wines – Snacks and essentials from our Tuck Shop – Additional kindling and logs for your wood burner and fire pit – Charcoal for your fire pit We also have a fantastic farm shop just a 10-minute drive away, along with two local pubs within walking distance. In addition, there are countless restaurants and cafes in nearby towns, including Great Malvern, Upton-upon-Severn, Tewkesbury, and Ledbury—all just a short 10-minute drive away and well worth a visit. Guest access Check-in and check-out are digital, so there’s no need to arrange times in person. You can access your Safari Tent anytime between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, but we recommend arriving before 8:00 PM since evenings have limited lighting to protect wildlife. Your safari tent includes a Welcome Smart Tablet for self-check-in and check-out. It also provides detailed guides about your accommodation and the surrounding area. In addition to your safari lodge, deck, hot tub, fire pit, hammock, and private garden, you'll have access to the wildflower meadow, which features a wooden Adventure Castle, a Nature Hideout—a haven for wildlife complete with a pond and willow dens—and a croquet lawn with a croquet set. You can also enjoy our Meadow Spa Lodge, a private and relaxing space for spa treatments and yoga. On-site, you’ll find a small Tuck Shop stocked with snacks and essentials. For the safety of younger guests, the glampsite is a car-free zone. The private car park is conveniently located adjacent to the glampsite, just a short walk from your safari tent. We provide pulley carts to help transport your belongings from the car park to your safari tent. Our glampsite has been selected for its character and privacy, with minimal development to preserve the natural beauty of the wildflower meadow. While there are mown paths, please note that there are no paved paths leading to the safari tents, and the land can be uneven in places. This may make it unsuitable for individuals with limited mobility or those requiring wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Additionally, please be aware that there is limited lighting in the evenings to protect local wildlife. Other things to note We welcome glampers, couples, families, well-behaved dogs, and small groups seeking a relaxing, peaceful getaway. However, we do not accommodate noisy guests or parties. PLEASE READ OUR HOUSE RULES TO ENSURE WE ARE THE RIGHT GLAMPSITE FOR YOU. Noise: Nestled along a quiet country lane, our rural retreat offers an authentic countryside feel. You may hear occasional farming activity, sheep bleating in nearby fields, lawn mowing, and the friendly bark of a country dog—the sounds that add to the true charm of rural life.
