Tiny home in Tampa
Description
We designed this little house with a little more room than your typical tiny house, and it's a bit more modern than the 'shotgun shacks' in the neighborhood. The house is centrally located in historic Ybor City, Tampa -- three blocks from the main drag of 7th avenue, and less than five minutes from the cruise terminal, Amalie Arena, Tampa convention center, and downtown. Designed and built by us in 2018. The space Newly constructed two bedroom cottage (casita) can sleep four, with two bedrooms containing one queen bed each. The first floor consists of the living room, kitchen, and dining nook - the bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. If you need more space, please inquire about also booking our original Ybor tiny house just next door! Our space is well-appointed with everything you might need to feel at home in one of our favorite neighborhoods in the USA. As we like to say, "every guest can be a local." The kitchen features a full size sink, two-burner electric cooktop, convection oven, fridge, coffee maker, electric kettle, and all the utensils you need if you've got the itch to cook. The dining nook also functions as a desktop if work beckons. Feel free to browse our book collection, but please leave all media in the house for everyone's continued enjoyment. Our casita also comes with one dedicated off-street parking spot and NEW for December 2022 - an outdoor dining and lounge area so that you can fully enjoy the famous Tampa sunshine (or moonlight). Guest access With your booking you have private access to the casita and shared access to the driveway, parking, and yard. Note that we have a utility room connected to the house that is accessed from the rear parking area. This room serves as storage for both this house and the green house adjacent, so you may notice our housekeeper accessing that room (daytime only) during your stay. Rest assured the door between the dining area and that utility room will remain locked and you won't be disturbed. :) Because of our love of Ybor, we have put together an amazing 'cheat sheet' of our favorite spots in the neighborhood for anyone, at any time of day. Between my husband and I, we've got 15 years experience living in the neighborhood and are excited to share our treasures and tips with guests! Please let me know if you're interested in recommendations and I will send our list along via email. A physical copy of the list is also kept at the little house. Other things to note Please keep in mind that while this is a beautiful historic neighborhood, it contains a popular entertainment district. On weekend nights and during special events you can expect some street noise.
