Description
The Townhouse is an old Cahersiveen landmark pub that has been restored to hostel-type accommodation keeping all the old features of this nineteenth century building. Slate roof tiles, orignial floorboards, solid-fuel range, doors and stairs combine to make this a unique three-story building right in the heart of Cahersiveen town and on the Ring of Kerry. You will feel welcome and at home at all times here and travelling tips and advice about the local area are always happily provided. The space The house itself is a work in progress so any people with creative ideas are especially welcome. The renovations are not completely finished yet but this won't affect your stay. We are currently converting what used to be the bar of the pub into a retro style chill-out area, where guests are more than welcome to relax. This space is quite big (easily enough space for 10 people). We have something for everyone: a variety of instruments including guitars and a piano, as well as bar games like table tennis, table football and darts. You will also have access to the kitchen and the possibility of making tea/coffee. Guest access Street parking outside the house is free and in plentiful supply. Should you find it difficult to park, there is a big carpark - also free - just behind the petrol station opposite the house. It's a prime location with everything in Cahersiveen within walking distance. Supermarket and café just across the road. During your stay We are living in Caherciveen for over 15 years and are very happy to answer questions or help you to plan your perfect stay. Other things to note We are extremely flexible in relation to most things and are always open to suggestions and ideas. PLEASE NOTE: The address of the house sometimes shows up wrong on some online maps. Use bing maps for the accurate location.
