The space This luxurious, character-filled converted barn has 4 bedrooms (2 on ground floor and 2 upstairs 'attic' rooms on mezzanine level) and 3 well-appointed bathrooms, including one upstairs bathtub with a spectacular view. Sleeps up to 5 downstairs and 4 upstairs in 6 beds (including downstairs double bunk). In the heart of the house, filled with French antiques and Australian Colonial pieces, you can prepare and share a meal in the country kitchen or at the long table, admire the scenery through every window, read a book by the fire, play board-games with the family, or relax in front of the TV. High speed wifi is provided, plus a mobile phone signal booster on each floor. The outdoor eating and entertainment area with Weber barbecue looks over a garden well-suited to special occasions. Play croquet, quoits or boules (bocce) on the huge lawn. Functions such as intimate birthdays, elopements or weddings can be hosted, but only by prior arrangement with the owners - please note separate function charges and insurance requirements will apply. An ideal base to explore the wild west end of KI - Snelling Beach and Stokes Bay, Western River Cove, Flinder’s Chase (Admiral’s Arch and Remarkable Rocks), Cape Borda and more! Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, garden and bushland in front of the house, and large parking area beside the house. The 4 hectare property also houses sheds and a Managers' cottage, at a distance from the main house. None of these buildings are accessible to guests, nor do cottage occupants interfere with guests' privacy. Other things to note Guests will likely see wallabies and kangaroos, wedge-tailed eagles and other creatures like echidnas and goanna may also be seen on the property. While they may approach you, particularly the kangaroos, as wild animals their space should be respected.
