Cozy Steamboat getaway with incredible views!

Our mountain condo is close to many outdoor adventures, including skiing, snowshoeing, fishing, hiking and kayaking. The front door is 12-14 minutes from the lifts and 11 minutes from downtown, but is far enough away to leave the hustle and bustle behind at the end of the day. You’ll love it because of the incredible views, the cabin-like setting with condo amenities, and the perfect secluded location. You can enjoy the sun and the mountains during the day, and see the milky way at night! The space Cozy first-floor condo in the Timbers complex, about 14 minutes south of downtown Steamboat Springs. Exposed timbers, wood-burning fireplace and the perfect location give it a log cabin-like ambiance, but with all the modern conveniences of home and none of the stress. Our condo is literally the closest real lodging to the Rabbit Ears Summit and trail system unless you're sleeping in a tent. Full kitchen, fast internet and wifi, comfy living room, storage for skis, and you can see for miles from the comfort of the couch! The condo is small, at under 600 square feet, but arranged well to provide usable space. Due to the nature of the structure and exposed timbers, there is an opening at the ceiling between the bedroom and the living room which is the width of the opposing timbers (see photos). You'll enjoy total visual separation between the spaces, but guests in the condo will hear each other. 2 guests is super comfortable, 3 is an absolute maximum, and should really only be done with family or good friends. We intentionally don't have cable / satellite TV, but the condo is equipped with a Roku box and Smart BluRay player for your Amazon, Hulu or Netflix and chill. Guest access In addition to the condo, guests have access to the upstairs lounge, pool table and laundry room. Other things to note The Timbers complex was built in the 70's, and has some incredible design features including huge exposed timbers and tongue-in-groove ceilings. It's quirky, rustic, and fun, but it's certainly not brand new. Expect it to look, sound and feel like a cozy log cabin, just one with a modern kitchen and fast WiFi. There's no A/C in the unit, but it stays pretty cool, even in the summer. The condo is located at 7700 feet in elevation, which means a few things. First, make sure to wear sunscreen. With 1.4 miles less atmosphere between you and the sun, it can be unforgiving. Second, if you're coming from sea level, plan to adjust for a day before participating in any high altitude operations. Additionally, it snows quite a bit here, average is around 290" per year. It's beautiful and fun. Both the complex management and the city of Steamboat do a fantastic job of snow removal and maintaining the roads, but plan ahead and take it slow. If you're renting a car to get here from the airport, four-wheel drive is much preferred during the winter months. Rabbit Ears pass can close during the heaviest storms, so check Routt & Jackson County road conditions, depending on where you're coming from. Condo is equipped with a full first-aid kit (bathroom cabinet), smoke and CO2 detectors, and fire extinguisher (adjacent to the fireplace). A copy of the Zombie Survival Guide is present and accounted for in the event of a patient zero event. Checkout is at 10:30am.
