The villa’s overall 200sq. meters living space includes a large, fully equipped Kitchen, a dining and a living area with marble floors, 3 air-conditioned bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (1 en suite) and 2 fire places. Powered with ''green'', solar energy, it can accommodate up to 8 people (there are 3 queen beds in the bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room, which turns into a double bed) A modern, spacious swimming pool with a beautiful sunbathing area has recently been built (May 2018). It's secluded and totally private. Our pool is HEATED on request and is available to our guests throughout the whole year. A specially trained crew maintains it meticulously and with regular visits they > skim off leaves , insects and debris, > brush sediment from pool walls > vacuum the pool > clean the skimmers > keep the pump running > check filter and backwash as needed > test pool water pH and add chemicals. Our thorough pool care ensures clean and safe water throughout our guests' entire stay. IMPORTANT: Our pool is heated on request. An additional fee is charged for this service and we need your confirmation on this when booking, or at least 48 hours prior to your arrival.The heating system of the pool is set to keep water temperature at 24-26 C from March to June 15th and from September 1st to November 30st, since this is the time period that water of the pool is cooler. Swimming pool water temperature standards are important for health and comfort reasons. This range can prevent the growth of algae and bacteria, as well as breathing difficulties. Within the villa's one acre garden there are roses, orange and lemon trees, whereas a BBQ - Grill is conveniently placed at the backyard. Amenities for your shopping and little needs ( mini market, bakery, pharmacy, gas station, grill house) are less than 200 meters away. The property is conveniently located 8min drive away from Kazantzakis International Airport and only 14min away from the city of Heraklion. For your daily getaways, both, fine, sandy beaches of Karteros and Amnisos can be reached in 5min, Water City ( the biggest Water Park of the island) is less than 5 Km away, and let’s not forget CretAquarium (10 Km away) and The Crete Golf Club (25min drive away) For those of you with adventurous spirit, there are several traditional villages to explore, just a few kilometers away from here, with Episkopi village and its Byzantine churches (6min drive away) dominating the area. Nature fans, wishing to explore the Cretan nature, gear up! The beautiful Karteros gorge is only 15min away. While located at the country side, in a very tranquil area, Villa Rosita, lies at the center of Crete and in close range to many famous Cretan sights like the Minoan Palace of Knossos (17 Km away), enabling the opportunity to easily explore both the West as well as the East part of the island. Please, be advised that Villa Rosita is located in an ideal area for privacy and relax and thus not particularly close to public transportation. Therefore it is recommended that you rent a car, throughout your stay, in order to easily move around. Guest access The whole house is set up to welcome you, our guest. Feel free to explore it and use its facilities as you would in your own place. Our refreshing pool and beautiful garden are there for your own private use.
