Description
Bespoke built 4-birth Shepherd’s hut. Unique glamping experience for couples or families. Enjoy the whole glamping field all to yourselves. Get back to nature and gather around the large fire-pit with log seating and festoon lighting, kick back in our riverside hammock and have a play on the tree swings! Set in the most peaceful and secluded riverside location. The space The Carriage setting boasts incredible sunsets and you can drift off to sleep to the sound of the river and awaken to the sound of birdsong. You are surrounded by green fields of farmland and views to The Black Mountains beyond. Make a brew or cook at the fire pit by river. There are fun swings by the old oak trees and a hammock for a lazy riverside relax. Enjoy the many amazing walks on your doorstep. The Carriage has a metal framed four poster double bed, two single bunks, and seating area. There is electric lighting, a kettle and charging points. The fire pit has a stove top kettle and large frying pan (logs are provided). There is an eco loo close to the Carriage with hand washing sink. A smart shower room & toilet (exclusive to your stay) and large commercial kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle & electric points are just 100m from the Carriage - please do bring a torch. We provide duvets and pillows but you will need to bring your own bed sheets, duvet covers & pillow cases and towels. We recommend to bring your wellies (or similar) as the dew is quite heavy in the mornings. Also bring warm coats and hats etc. for chilly evenings and hot water bottles and extra blankets as The Carriage is insulated but does not have heating. If you have young children, they will need to be supervised by an adult at all times by the river. Guest access The glampsite is yours exclusively during your stay - so there will be no other glampers. You have parking next to the glampsite and sole use of an eco loo on site and shower room & toilet 100m away in the main barn. Also in the barn you will have access to a commercial kitchen for all cooking needs. Other things to note Lots of wonderful walks on nearby footpaths and close to the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. Several canoe companies nearby and Viking Games experience right here in the village of Ewyas Harold! Local cider tasting (Ty Gwyn), ice-cream parlour (Rowlestones), llama walks, laser clay shooting to name just a few things to do on your stay. Two great village pubs in Ewyas Harold village just 1/2 mile away plus an excellent fish & chip shop, village store plus 2 high quality butchers. For supermarkets pass by Hereford or Abergavenny enroute.
