Oldehof

This apartment is located in the part of our farmhouse, where we try to apply as much principles of self-sufficient living as possible. In the garden, we use permaculture and agroforestry to develop an edible garden. At night it is dark and quiet here, unless the chicks of the church owl scream at their mother. There are many special animals living here. In the immediate vicinity, you can enjoy nature through an extensive network of unpaved roads and paths. The space The apartment is partially furnished with secondhand items and is cleaned with ecological cleaning products. We dry the laundry as much as possible on the line. We give food scraps to the animals or to the compost pile. Bedding, towels and tea towels are included in the cleaning fee. Guest access You have a private terrace at your disposal, but you are also welcome in other places in our garden. We have a number of fireplaces where a fire may be lit in consultation. Other things to note The farm is right between the villages of Norg, Een, Langelo and Westervelde in the head of Drenthe. In the immediate vicinity, you can enjoy nature through an extensive network of unpaved roads and paths. You can enjoy hiking and cycling here. A few hundred meters away are the Molenduinen, a beautiful forest with numerous trails. Or take a walk from Westervelde along the river valley of the Slokkert, where bulbs breed in spring. Norg is a nice village with the necessary amenities (supermarkets, bakery, restaurants and an indoor swimming pool). Westervelde is an old esdorp with a hunebed. Nearby are also Veenhuizen (nominated UNESCO World Heritage) and you will find the nature reserves Fochteloërveen and the Onlanden. A little further away is Assen (15 minutes drive), the city of Groningen is half an hour by car. We would like to show you the way!
