Unique bush home in Naivasha

Located in Green Park, home of the Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort, our contemporary family house is nestled in 5-acres of private bush with spectacular views of Lake Naivasha and Mount Longonot and offers a unique getaway for families, friends and couples looking for a romantic escape. The space In the day, soak up the specatular views, peace and tranquility from the comfort of the veranda and at night, sit back and relax by a roaring fire. Our staff will be at hand to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. VDB house has an open-plan kitchen/bar top/living space with a raised fireplace and a shaded Spanish-style courtyard complete with BBQ, firepit and lounge seating. Glass sliding doors span almost the entire length of the front veranda bringing the outside 'in' with 2 of the 3 ensuite bedrooms facing the lake. There are plenty of private bush walks within the 5-acre property / adjacent family property and a sunken terrace in the garden with firepit and dining/coffee table. We have 1 tiny dog and chickens; children are most welcome to feed the chickens! In the garden we also have a small trampoline and swings. Guest access Guests can enjoy all that our 5-acre sanctuary offers plus bush walks in the adjacent family property. We can also arrange trips on the lake with prior notice. In addition to golf, the Great Rift Valley Lodge has swimming and tennis facilities plus cycling and jogging paths. The restaurant / bar has free WiFi. They also operate an Adventurer's Club for children with oriented game walks, treasure hunts and games. It is best to confirm with the hotel the timings of the various activities on offer, above. Other things to note - We have drinking water straight from the kitchen tap. - The solar will manage showers comfortably at night but if the bath is used, there may be little warm water by morning! For hot water showers in the morning, please ask our staff to switch on the water heater; it will take approx. 20mins. - There is a basic DVD player. You will need to use the 'source' button on the TV remote to switch between the TV and DVD. - Firewood and paraffin will all be provided. - We have WiFi but reception is not always brilliant. The lodge is only 5 minutes down the road and connectivity may be easier there, if absolutely needed. Please bring: food, alcohol, baby cots, walking boots, jumpers for the evening, tennis rackets, bicycles, board games, DVDs, music & kids toys. Please also bring your own charcoal. Green Park has a small 'corner' shop selling dried food stuffs as well as local honey, jams & organic eggs. They have also have frozen meats, a selection of dairy products but fruit & vegetables may be limited. Alcohol can be purchased just outside Green Park where there is also a new petrol station/garage. Please contact us for details. There is a basic medical clinic at Green Park open during the day. For emergencies please call Dr Peter Nicklin (based in Naivasha town) on : (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). There is a private hospital in Naivasha town called the BNL Hospital based opposite the Aga Khan Laboratory. For members, Flying Doctors can assist with medical evacuations. In terms of security, we are on a radio network at Green Park. We encourage tips for our wonderful staff!
